Rapper Pras gave his first interview about the legal drama that led to him being investigated for money laundering and accused of being a Chinese government agent.

Rolling Stone released a feature about the ordeal where Michael Ames breaks down how the Fugees rapper became the face of a decade-long case involving two foreign nationals attempting to influence the U.S. government.

The first man, who Pras refers to as Jho Low, is a Malaysian national who robbed his country’s sovereign wealth fund (known as 1MDB) of $4.5 billion dollars.

The man, whose real name is Low Taek Jho, used the stolen money to buy his way into American social and celebrity circles with stunts like putting up $100 million to finance Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf Of Wall Street because he was trying to become friends with Leonardo DiCaprio.

For the first few years of their friendship, Pras and Jho Low’s relationship consisted of high-profile celebrity parties. One event in 2012 saw the two transform a private 500-seater flight into a nightclub so that they could shuttle their A-List friends to Sydney, Australia to celebrate New Year’s Eve; then return to the United States to ring in 2013 a second time.

“When we exited Australia, the stamp was 2013,” Pras said, explaining the adventure. “When I came back into the States, the stamp was 2012.”

In the midst of it all, however, Jho set his sights on bribing the U.S. government like he had done with the Malaysian government and others; and saw Pras’ relationship with Barack Obama as a way in.

The first crime the rapper is accused of committing consists of him donating over $1.1 million of Jho Low’s money into Obama’s 2012 campaign, but making it seem as though the amount came from multiple donations from multiple people.

In 2019, Pras was indicted on four criminal counts for his illegal contributions. However, prosecutors offered him a plea deal that would not only see the charges go away, but would also lead to the government returning some of the $74 million that had been seized from his four bank accounts.

Maintaining that he had done nothing wrong, Pras turned down the deal. And now his attorneys are saying that he has been turned into a scapegoat for Low Taek Jho, who has since fled the country and cannot be prosecuted.

After turning down the plea deal, Pras was hit with “a superseding indictment that added eight more criminal charges, including bank fraud, concealment of material facts, witness tampering, violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), and working as an unregistered agent of the People’s Republic of China.”

The last two charges are from Jho using Pras to try to get in good with someone within the Trump administration who could help make the investigation into his embezzlement case go away. In the process, Pras was introduced to China’s Vice Minister of Public Security Sun Lijun, who was trying to get the U.S. government to turn over a wealthy fugitive billionaire back over to Chinese authorities.

Pras took one meeting with Lijun; but the conversations they had technically made it seem as though the rapper was acting against the United States on behalf of China.

“I was one of those people who was just dabbling. I never thought I would be full time into politics,” Pras told Rolling Stone of his ordeal. “I realized politics is not for me. The problem with politics is this: It’s that the people within politics, they’re dirtier than the people who are not in politics.

“What benefit would I get trying to break laws? It’s not worth it to me,” he added after explaining that, throughout this whole ordeal he checked in with his legal council to make sure he wouldn’t be getting himself into trouble. “I’m like a pariah now. I’ve got friends who won’t talk to me because they think there’s a satellite in orbit listening to them.”

Addressing the rumors that the Fugees 2022 reunion tour was cancelled because of his legal troubles, Pras hinted that drama within the crew had much more to do with the cancellation than anything going on in his own life.

“It got a bit complicated. That’s life. But I think now we cordial,” he explained. “’Clef and I speak, here and there. He texts me, he calls me. Lauryn and I, we cool. You know, it’s all right. But obviously, dealing with what I’m dealing with, I’ve just been kind of, like, focusing on that, you know what I mean?”

 All of the other people who were originally included in the federal indictment — including two Goldman Sachs bankers who confessed to helping Jho move his money around; and Frank White, Jr., the former chairman of President Obama’s reelection campaign — have agreed to testify against Pras in a trial set to start on March 27.

Janet Jackson is set to go on tour this summer. In a new announcement, the legend will capture her life in the forthcoming documentary, Family First.

The new documentary will be delivered by Lifetime and A&E, chronicling her efforts to bring the Jackson family band back together for the first time in 40 years. The effort will be done with her brother Randy.

Jackson said of the doc, “I am excited to continue to share my story, and welcome fans into my life and the ‘Together Again’ tour. Thank you for your never-ending support, and I hope you enjoy the next chapter.”

Randy Jackson added, “In this next chapter in the documentary, Janet and I are thrilled to welcome viewers on the road with us as we embark on the ‘Together Again’ tour, celebrating the milestone of 50 years of Janet’s career with fans across the country. We look forward to the continued partnership with Lifetime and A&E, and to sharing our family with viewers.”

Janet Jackson’s tour is her first in four years. This time she’s bringing Ludacris.

Janet just announced her 2023 Together Again North American Tour on social media, and fans wonder what she has up her sleeves. 

“I’m going back on tour and yes we will be together again very, very soon,” Jackson said in an Instagram video on Monday. “I miss you guys so much and I can’t wait to see you. Our opening show is April 14 in Hollywood, Florida. I’m so excited.”

The Miami rapper is insisting she’s single and denying she was ever coupled up at all.

The City Girls rapper sat down to chat with Billboard following their performance at Rolling Loud California on Saturday. When asked if they’d been on a double date with JT and her man rapper Lil Uzi Vert Miami made her relationship status quite clear.

“I’m single, baby,” Miami said. “What man you saw me with? I’m single. S-I-N-G-L-E, baby!”

She made this announcement the same weekend she shared she never wants to get married while responding to an inquiry from a fan on Instagram Live.

The next day, she doubled down on her statement by tweeting that she wouldn’t be sharing her next boyfriend.

They were first seen holding hands at Quality Control CEO Pierre “Pee” Thomas’ birthday party, but it wasn’t until last June that they made their romance official.

A few months later, Miami confirmed it was an open relationship. “We are dating. We single, but we’re dating,” she said. “People don’t know what dating means. He’s single, I’m single, but we’re dating. That’s what I mean when I say we go together. When we’re together, we’re together. We’re having the time of our lives, but we’re still single.”

She added: “He see other people outside of me and I see people outside of him. I’m young. I’m dating. I’m, you know, having fun. I’m doing me. He’s doing the same thing. I can’t speak for exactly what he doing or who he seeing, but we single and we dating.”
We guess something must have changed.

Gangsta Boo’s mother has retained an attorney, and once all legal hurdles have been cleared, the project will be available on all streaming platforms. Gangsta Boo’s mother, Veronica Mitchell, states, “My daughter Lola was my only baby girl. I was so proud when she would rap as a little girl. She called herself Tinkerbell and would always be singing her little songs. Me and her father Cedric knew she was talented, but she took it to another level chile. She became the Queen of Memphis. My baby is loved by people everywhere and it all started at home with us. That’s so amazing to me. It makes me smile ear to ear. God brought her home to be with her daddy Cedric and her brother Derron. I miss her but I know she’s happy with them. I’ll always remember telling her GO GET THEM DOLLAS, but I had no idea how many people would love my baby girl. I’m grateful all y’all support my daughter. Thank you.”

Friday night, the Universal Hip Hop Museum and Video Music Box brought together prominent Hip Hop heads to celebrate 50 years of Hip Hop fashion.

Everyone from rapper Fat Joe, Vinnie of Naughty By Nature to Stylist Misa Hylton sat front row watching fashions from the designers that dressed our favorite rap stars.

The Universal Hip Hop Museum–which opens in 2024–partnered up with the Video Music Box and the Mayor’s Office of the City of New York to kick-off the 50th Anniversary celebration of Hip Hop culture with “The Drip: 50 Years of Hip Hop Fashion,” a live runway show held at The Venue at the Hard Rock Hotel Times Square.

Nostagic videos played on the gian screen as fashion design legends Karl Kani, April Walker, FUBU and Dapper Dan revealed clothing from their newest collections.

The show also included emerging designers Malik Dupri, Haus of Swag, Riche Threads and Pepper Jacques. Mayor Eric Adams was in the building and paid homage to the groundbreaking designers, The Shirt Kings, who started in the early 80s. The fashion show also introduced I.C.Y. Inspire Creative Youth and their mission to create elevation platforms for inner city youth around the world.

DJ Ralph McDaniels, creator of Hip Hop’s longest running broadcast variety show, Video Music Box and the Video Music Box Collection has been documenting Hip Hop culture for the past 40 years. “The Drip” included footage from a decade of original “Phat Fashion” runway shows for the audience of the next generation of Hip Hop’s designer’s, influencers, and fashionistas.  

Hip Hop musical guest Special Ed surprised the crowd with the Lo-Life’s and a special performance of his classics.

“For the past 50 years, Hip Hop fashion designers have carved their own lane in the fashion industry as creative entrepreneurs. Today, you can recognize Hip Hop style no matter where you see it globally,” said Universal Hip Hop Museum Executive Director Rocky Bucano.

“The Drip” is inspired by the groundbreaking Phat Fashion Show produced by Ralph McDaniels and Video Music Box. “Hip Hop’s influence on fashion is undeniable. And young Black and Brown designers and models made their own lane when the traditional fashion industry excluded them. So today, we celebrate those original trendsetters and the future leaders of Hip Hop fashion,” said Executive Producer Ralph McDaniels.

Young Dolph’s daughter, Aria, is learning how to cope and accept the passing of her father despite how challenging it is to accept such a harsh, permanent reality. With guidance from therapy, her faith community, her mother, and the support of her family – she is constantly learning how to communicate her undying love for her father through art expression. Additionally, to accompany the collection, Aria penned a poem entitled “Daughters’ Deserve Their Father.” The collection will feature selected parts of the poem and was slightly augmented to speak on behalf of all children who are grieving the loss of their father. Aria beautifully designed a heartfelt drawing that illustrates the love shared between God, father, & daughter. The design is high level screen print and comes in sweatshirts and an adult tshirt. Rihanna finally came out of hiatus after seven years with her Super Bowl LVII performance. Now the billionaire singer will be returning to the stage to burn down the 95th Academy Awards.

Variety reports the superstar singer will perform her Oscar-nominated song “Lift Me Up” from the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack when the 2023 ceremony goes down live on ABC on March 12.

The song, with music by Tems, Rihanna, Ryan Coogler and Ludwig Goransson and lyrics by Tems and Ryan Coogler, stands as her first Oscar nomination with a nod for Best Original Song.

Rih will make history with the performance, becoming the first Black woman to perform at the Oscars while pregnant. Catherine Zeta-Jones is the only other person to do so – being eight months pregnant when she performed “I Move On” from “Chicago” at the 2003 Oscars with Queen Latifah.

After 13 years off the Hollywood grid, Mo’Nique is on a mission to take back her crown as the Queen On Comedy.

The grammy-nominated, Oscar and Golden Globe award-winning actor and comedian is back with a new stand-up special, premiering globally on Netflix April 4th.

On Wednesday, the streamer released a video taking fans behind the scenes of the original comedy special.

“Why did I title this special My Name Is Mo’Nique? I give y’all my word, after 72 minutes, y’all gon’ know why this s**t is called My Name Is Mo’Nique,” the actress says in the teaser with a smile. “Y’all might say, ‘Damn, we didn’t know we was gonna find out all that!’ Yes, my name is Mo’Nique. This one right here is personal.”

“When you walk away from this one, when you’ve turned your TV off from this one, you’ll say, ‘Now we understand that woman,’” she continues. “For 32 years, I have been funny, and I’m grateful for that gift. But this show right here really allows you to understand why I swing like I swing… There are things I’m going to say in this comedy special that I thought I would take to my grave.”

Directed by L. Frazier and executive produced by Mo’Nique and her husband, Sidney Hicks, My Name Is Mo’Nique will balance comedy with insights about the comedian’s life and upbringing in Baltimore. The special was shot on Oct. 29 at Georgia State University’s Rialto Center for the Arts.

In 2022, Mo’Nique settled her discrimination lawsuit with Netflix over a pay dispute. She had publicly blasted the company in 2018 after claiming the streamer was looking to underpay her to the tune of $500,000 for a one-hour standup special, and then in 2019, she filed a discrimination suit against Netflix. Details regarding the settlement remain under wraps, but the two parties appear to be in a good place with their upcoming hour-long special.

Aoki Lee Simmons has been under fire after revealing her boyfriend on social media. Commenters attacked Aoki’s decision to date white and questioned if she ever experienced dating her own race. Kimora Lee and Russell Simmons’ youngest daughter decided to curb her social media activity after an influx of nasty comments following her Valentines Day post.

The drama began after Aoki did a ‘hard launch’ of her boyfriend after hiding his identity. They’ve been together for over a year and she’s shared pictures of him before but only his feet. This was the first time anyone saw his face or skin color.

After countless racially charged comments calling her beau old and ugly, Aoki decided to respond.

Aoki wrote:
It’s genuinely so awful. How is any young person supposed to have a normal well adjusted life if this is what happens over a Godamn tagless valentines day post?!
And I had no idea because within my page it’s mild and mostly positive.
(Thank you guys for that) but I guess outside of it the world, people I haven’t done anything to or harmed at all, are just horrendously bitter and racist.
Anyway. I need to reconsider how/ if I use this platform and what I share.
Which sucks because l’m an open person but this can’t happen to people I care about

She added:
I understand the public figure/you knew it was going to happen ec… argument. Sure I guess I knew the world was stuck in 1950 and would have some recessive & to say about something as simple as an interracial relationship…….

According to reports, viewing peaked during Rihanna’s set with 118.7 million viewers, making her the second-most-watched halftime show behind Katy Perry in 2015 with 121 million.

Actress Meagan Good has been in a press run for her new show Harlem and she recently shared that she’s ready to settle down and have children.

The 41-year-old beauty said she put off having children in her 20s and 30s to focus on her acting career. Meagan revealed she’s ready to have kids whether she’s married or not. She admitted she previously considered having a baby when she was married to preacher DeVon Franklin. They previously discussed their journey with freezing her eggs and shared how her outlook on motherhood had changed. “When you say you’re not sure you want to be a mom, people look at you like you’re a bad person,” said the director and actress to Romper. “As if something’s wrong with you. But I was never really that girl who said, “I can’t wait to get married,” “I can’t wait to be a mother.” I just was very much a tomboy, and I started my career so young that I’d always been very business-oriented.”

Unfortunately their divorce was finalized in June 2022 after 10 years of marriage.

“I’m in a place where I know that I want to be a mother — married or not. Whatever happens in this next season in the act of life,” she said.

Meagan said she previously put off having kids because she wasn’t ready. She dismissed remarks by her friends, asking why she didn’t have DeVon’s child.

While many gave their opinion on social media, women like Janet Jackson and Naomi Campbell prove that women can continue having children into their 50’s.Good luck Meagan, prayers to you!

Singer Lizzo is making headlines again and she’s got everyone’s attention.The 34-year-old singer recently posted a “hard launch” of her relationship with boyfriend Myke Wright, sharing intimate flicks of themselves at a pre-Grammys party in Los Angeles over the weekend.

The elegant couple attended the Pre-Grammy Gala and Grammy Salute to Industry Icons ceremony on Saturday night.

She posted photos on her social media accounts of the pair embracing behind the scenes, with the caption: “Hard launch.”

Lizzo first confirmed she was in a relationship in April 2022 during an appearance on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live show. She and Wright made their first public appearance together and debuted as a couple on the red carpet at the screening of Lizzo’s Amazon Prime Video series, Watch Out for the Big Grrrls.

At Saturday’s red carpet event, Lizzo sported a black mini dress with black and blue fringe along the neckline, sleeves and hem, designed by Alexander McQueen. She wore a pair of garters that held up her thigh high black boots underneath.

Keeping Score, the first co-branded collaboration between PUMA and Creative Director June Ambrose will be released. This new collection honors Ambrose’s career and legacy in hip-hop and fashion, examines the concept of reflection and encourages women to keep track of their victories.

The 20-piece clothing, footwear, and accessories collection will be released in two parts. The initial drop, which will consist of ten pieces in a rich burgundy and blue colorway, is available now.

The initial product release includes reversible shorts and beanies, a removable mesh jersey sports bra, a balaclava, color block leggings, and an oversized sweatshirt, all while staying loyal to her priority of fusing fashion with function. The Hood Hall of Famer tee and the runaway maxi to midi skirt are standouts. This drop will also include new versions of the iconic Ralph Sampson sneaker and the design-forward Prevail sneaker.

According to Radar Online, the noose-inspired necklace first appeared in Givenchy’s 2022 spring collection in October 2021.

Social media users accused Kyle of endorsing an item that would is offensive to Black people.

Rapper Lil Boosie Badazz‘s 21-year-old daughter Iviona, a.k.a. Poison Ivi, came out on Instagram. Intimately hugged up with her girlfriend, Iviona, an aspiring rapper, captioned the image: “Endlessly in love with you.”

Boosie, 40, went viral in February 2020, when he was criticized for comments he made about Zaya Wade, the then-12-year-old child of retired NBA star Dwyane Wade.

Among theBoosi comments Boosie made to Wade was, “Don’t cut his d*ck off, bruh.” He was also asked to leave a Planet Fitness gym in Georgia after his comments about Zaya went viral.
  
Boosie was also criticized for his parenting which included hiring a stripper for his minor son.  Boosie bragged that he hired his son a “bad bitch” to perform fellatio on him for his birthday and allowed the boy to watch adult videos..

During a recent episode of We Can Do Hard Things podcast, actress Tracee Ellis Ross opened up about being 50, single, and going through perimenopause.

While reflecting on experiencing perimenopause, Ross shared,

“I have, for my entire life, been tethered to a very routine cycle. And I’m very connected to my body, so I would know I’m ovulating. I would have all the feelings of knowing that and all of that is out the window. And I turn 50. And here I am in this open space now, sort of allowing the bubbling up of whatever might be here.”

Perimenopause means “around menopause” and refers to the time when body makes the natural transition to menopause, marking the end of the reproductive years. Perimenopause is also called the menopausal transition. It often begins between the ages of 45 and 55.

The Black-ish star read an excerpt from her journal in which she questioned what it means to be fertile and to come to the end of her reproductive years.

“I can feel my body’s ability to make a child draining out of me. Sometimes I find it hilarious, as if there is a fire sale going on in my uterus, and someone’s in there screaming, ‘All things must go.’ As my body becomes a foreign place to me that doesn’t really feel safe or like home…I don’t know how to manage or control or fight the external binary narrative of the patriarchy that has hunted me and haunted me most of my adult life.”

“Is it my fertility that is leaving me? Is it my womanhood? Or is it really neither? But I have to fight to hold my truth, because I have been programmed so successfully by the water we all swim in, by the water we all are served. And I feel fertile with creativity, full of power, more and more a woman than I’ve ever been. And yet that power that I was told I must use was not used.”

“I say this to people all the time, I’m a wonderful mother. And I’m very mothering. And it’s been hard for me to claim that.”

She later expressed how she feels grateful that she is now able to look at being childless ‘with curiosity instead of heartbreak.’  She explains,“The heartbreak does come up, and I get to hold that gently and lovingly and then say, remind myself, ‘I woke up every morning of my life and I’ve tried to do my best, so I must be where I’m supposed to be.”

“I’ve been single for a very long time. I have had many wonderful ins and outs of things, but no one stuck to the pan. As a result, I get to curate my family, my chosen family around me. And I don’t think I realized the gift of that until I’ve started to get older.”

Andre Rison recently revealed in an interview that rapper Tupac Shakur picked up his ex-fiance Left Eye the same night she burned down his house in Atlanta in 1994.

The Ex-NFL star said Tupac pulled up in a limousine and picked up Left Eye the night before she set his mansion on fire on June 9, 1994.

Andre claims that after they left, they “doubled back” to the house and she went inside and saw a platoon of women.

Andre, 55, said Left Eye was upset when she arrived home to see the house full of women. He said the women were with his boys, not him.

“We didn’t sweat nothing. We don’t sweat stuff where I’m from,” he said.

He said his homies had already alerted him that she was seeing Tupac on the low. “But it’s all good though. We weren’t sweating. We just turnt up.”

Back in September rapper Cardi B pleaded guilty to arranging an attack on two bartending sisters, one of whom she believed was having an affair with her husband rapper Offset. She settled a plea deal that including no jail time and 15 days of community service which she failed to complete by this Tuesday. Once again, Cardi has been given another chance by receiving an extension to complete her community service.

NBC NY reports

Rapper Cardi B has been given an extension to complete her community service stemming from an assault at a Queens strip club in 2018.

The Grammy Award-winner appeared before a judge on Tuesday. She now has until March 1 to complete 15-days of mandatory community service she received as part of a plea deal.

The 30-year-old, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, was accused of ordering an attack on two strip club bartenders. She pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault charges.

Cardi B was supposed to complete her community service by Tuesday, but so far, had not done any of the required time.

Janet Jackson’s managers are accusing the legendary pop star of non-payment on fees for nearly a quarter million dollars..

According to The Blast:

According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the Grammy-winning singer is having legal action taken against her for what her managers are calling “unpaid services.” The lawsuit has been filed against Jackson and several of her companies dating back to 2017. The suit claims Jackson entered into a “business management services agreement” in August of 2017 with David Weise and Associates.

The company describes itself as “the largest business management firm in the country.” They also boast that they are no strangers to working with entertainers and such. “We work alongside the world’s top artists in music, film, and television, as well as athletes, executives, entrepreneurs, and other high achievers, offering a sophisticated range of concierge-style services to meet their lifestyle management needs.”

The company is accusing Jackson of bailing on paying the full amount owed for their involvement in her career. Obviously, Jackson is a big star who could probably pay the debt sooner rather than later. The total allegedly owed is $238,593.88.

Chilli is best known for being a member of TLC, one of the most successful girl groups of all time. Matthew has been an actor since childhood and memorably starred opposite Robin Williams in the 1993 comedy Mrs. Doubtfire.Matthew was previously married to professional dancer Cheryl Burke, with their divorce finalised in September 2022.

Chilli and Matthew are said to have gone Instagram official with their romance in a since-deleted video they shared dancing to Take On Me in their pyjamas.

In October, 26-year-old Jaynisha “Jayla” Williams and her mother, Latoshia Leggett, traveled to Best U Now cosmetic surgery center in Plantation, Florida so the young woman could receive a breast augmentation and a Brazilian butt lift. As reported by her mother, Wiliams never woke up from the surgery.

According to Leggett, she flew in from California to attend her daughter’s procedure and waited in the facility’s lobby as doctors worked on Williams. “I was asking every hour, ‘How’s my daughter doing? How are things going?’ and they kept telling me, ‘She’s OK. Everything is fine,’” the grieving mother recalled. As time passed, other patients exited, but Williams never appeared. “The ambulance pulled up. That’s when I said, ‘Excuse me, can somebody tell me what’s going on?’” Leggett said to the news station. As Williams’ body was rolled out of the building on a stretcher, staff from the Best U Now cosmetic surgery center delivered devastating news. “They politely grabbed me and said, ‘Your daughter is dead,’” she revealed. A report from the Broward Medical Examiner’s Office noted, “The procedure was completed, but [Williams] never awoke from the anesthesia.” Her cause of death was listed as undetermined. Since the tragedy, the Florida Health Department has filed administrative complaints against the facility, as well as Dr. John Edward Nees, the designated physician for Best U Now.

Reports later revealed that an OBGYN name Dr. Millicent Muir gave Williams the anesthesia she never woke up from. The designated physician for the surgery center, claimed they allowed a doctor who wasn’t qualified to administer the aesthesia to sedate Williams.

The victim’s family says no one from the surgery center has reached out to them following their loss. The 26-year-old left behind two young children, ages 5 and 2. “It’s hard. They ask if they can go to heaven to see their mom. They don’t understand,” Leggett tearfully said during an interview with NBC Miami 6.

Louis Vuitton is rolling out ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories, and perfumes in collaboration with 93-year-old fine artist Yayoi Kusama. The partnership will be accompanied by carefully curated campaigns and high-profile activations.

Since the initial announcement of this collaboration, there has been quick progress in getting consumers excited. Last May, Nicolas Ghesquière, the brand’s artistic director of women’s collections, accessorized some of his cruise 2023 outfits with polka-dot handbags. A Tokyo takeover followed at the Tokyo Tower, Zojoji Temple, and Tokyo station, where a combination of physical installations and augmented reality activations got a buzz going. Further excitement about this drop was reflected by an Instagram post of the anamorphic billboard Vuitton installed in Tokyo’s swarming Shinjuku district that scored more than 10 million views. It shows Kusama peering out from a decorated Vuitton trunk with animated fruit friends.

Delphine Arnault, Vuitton’s executive vice president, said, “One of the aspects of her [Kusama] work is happiness, and we thought it would be really refreshing after the pandemic to have the worlds of Vuitton and the world of Kusama meet again.” 

One thing is crystal clear after the success of this partnership in 2012 between the luxury giant and artist. They share an obsession with perfection in concept, execution and craft. The new collection encompasses Kusama’s “infinity dots” and metal dots, first introduced in 1966, alongside floral and pumpkin motifs. It took the Vuitton team countless trials to achieve the desired effect of seamless floating dots that resemble wet paint.

Tiffney is a school teacher with a masters degree & 2 other degrees who is an amazing parent & is very capable of raising our daughter to be great even if I wasn’t in the picture… but I am in the picture so… Tiffney called me & asked me would it be okay for my daughter to wear the dress in the photo to the twins party… after talking to her thoroughly for over an hour about it, I agreed to let my daughter rock.. being that she wears a school uniform 5 days a week. My daughter has grown tremendously over the last year & is now almost 5’9 in height & beautiful. She’s a straight A student & is shy in most cases & dresses like a Tom boy in baggy jeans and Dr. Martin boots damn near everyday. The twins had a futuristic bday theme & my baby wanted to look great & be in full confidence going to support her friends celebration. Boy Meets Girl and House of Blueberry are releasing a four-piece digital fashion collection. The digital wearables are a representation of bestsellers for Boy Meets Girl in the physical world. Items such as leggings, sweatpants, and two signature T-shirts make up the virtual boutique that Roblox users can browse. Additionally, users can try on designs and create customized digital identities for their avatars. 

House of Blueberry is on a mission to build the largest digital fashion house in the universe. They have had over 20 million assets sold, 10,000 stock-keeping units and more than 400,000 unique customers. The Roblox community has 43.2 million active daily users where nearly 67% are under the age 16. In an effort to set the standard high for their digital space, Boy Meets Girl will carry its anti-bullying mission forward  into the metaverse through positive messaging in the Blueberry virtual boutique.

Beginning in January 2023, Thom Browne will be the next chairman of the Council of Fashion Designers of America. The New York designer succeeds Tom Ford who held the position for three years. Brown was elected unanimously by the CFDA’s board of directors (which includes Ford) for a two-year term.

Before joining the CFDA in 2005, Brown launched his label in 2003. As of today, Brown has won the CFDA’s Menswear Designer of the Year award three times, in 2006, 2013 and 2015. He also serves on the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund’s selection committee. By 2018,  Ermenegildo Zegna bought 85 per cent of the company, valuing the brand at $500 million.

Brown is known for his mastery of tailoring and made-to-measure suits. Since its founding, the brand has grown to include full ready-to-wear men’s and women’s collections, accessories, footwear and fragrance, and runway shows in Paris and New York. 

Browne, determined to inspire the next generation of designers said, “My most important message is that everyone should have all the opportunities to thrive as designers, but the core of this success has to start from pure creativity. It is the mission of the CFDA to support and encourage new voices and new designers to parlay their creativity into a unique and singular level of success. As designers, it is our responsibility to provoke…to educate… to entertain…to make laugh and to make cry…and, most importantly, to make beautiful clothes and to succeed in nurturing the next generation of American design.”

As he gears up to step into this new role next month, Browne is showing pre-fall. This commercially centered collection aims to balance creative inspiration from the classic book “Moby Dick.” The literary work of art is conveyed through fantastical silhouettes, seafaring embroideries, and marine mammal shaped handbags. The collection spans classic tweeds, tailoring and proportions, showing elongated single and double-breasted jackets with pleated skirts, and cropped sweaters or twinsets with low-waist pencil skirts for the Gen Z set. Playing on a new trend, the line features micro minidresses made from suiting fabric paired with cable knit tights and duck shoes. Colors paint the collection in pastel pink, pale gray, and darker colors like navy and clean all  black looks.

Playboy has announced the official launch of their newest solo owned-and-operated denim endeavor. The line will feature 18 pieces in styles such as skinny, low-rise skater, high-rise, wide leg, flare jeans, straight jeans and others. Spanning both men’s and women’s wear, the styles come in washes including black waxed, camouflage print, pink stone wash and classic blue denim and are designed with Playboy’s well-known bunny logo. 

Though this is Playboy’s first solo denim launch, this collection follows the launch of their solo lingerie brand earlier this year. Previously, they have joined forces with retailers such as Amiri, Pleasures, Supreme, Pacsun and various others. The classic fabric staple known as a must-have in many closets coupled with the legacy of Playboy, presents a solid pairing.

The footwear industry has been an integral part of shaping culture across various channels, such as sportswear, music, social media, and fashion. Arriving just in time for the gifting season, “She Kicks” $95, appreciates the cutting-edge innovators, designers, executives, athletes, entrepreneurs, and influencers changing the footwear realm. 

Written by Nav Gill, former editor of Hypebae, and Sanne Poeze, the Dutch influencer and sneaker collector, the book was published by indie New York house Studio 96. Scan technology has been incorporated into this work through an app that allows users to expand content, access giveaways, and shop styles.

The enactment of Title IX in 1972 changed the game for women’s performance sneakers by ensuring access to sports in public schools. Previously, fashion brands heavily marketed sneakers to men exclusively. The book honors this journey through photos of ads for the Lady Waffle, which Nike introduced in 1977, and the Lady Vans product line introduced in 1984.

The book was created to celebrate the women engineering creative sneaker design and cultivate a space where all of these images and stories exist together. The publication features photos, information on design and silhouettes, collaborations, triumphal milestones, female-owned stores, and future endeavors like Web3.

Still, almost 30 years later, male collaborations with athletic brands largely supersede alliances with women across numerous sports. 

As one of the largest pillars of influence, if not the biggest, collaborations often represent the significance of a career. Gill said, “People are always going to be inspired by celebrities, and they have such massive selling potential. The examples of Kanye, Beyoncé’s Ivy Park and Rihanna’s Fenty, when those partnerships were biggest was when they were at the pinnacles of their careers and could sell anything. But it depends on the celebrity and the cosign. Sneaker consumers can see through the BS, and it has to be something meaningful.” “She Kicks” representation of artistry among women in the sneaker industry aims to transcend celebrity culture and focus more on the next generation of blossoming creators. Sneaker culture is about homogenized creativity that outranks who made the shoe. 

During the 90s, the opportunity for women to move into sneaker design spaces became more accessible as the industry exploded. Though there are design rooms that still skew towards the male gaze, large strides are being taken to make the sneaker industry more inclusive. Sharing the stories of women who have produced works true to them despite all odds generates visibility for designers that may otherwise be overlooked for their contributions. Gill said of designers who paved the way, “You can’t be what you can’t see.”

After a four-year partnership, Cardi and Reebok are wrapping up their partnership.

Reebok CEO Todd Krinsky stated that the partnership with Cardi has proudly pushed boundaries and have put an emphasis on inclusivity and self- expression. He went on to say, “we’re so grateful for our partnership with Cardi over the years. Having the opportunity to collaborate with someone as passionate, iconic and talented as her is an unmatched experience and will certainly leave a lasting impact on the brand”. Today on her Instagram, Cardi posted her final collection which is the second part of her “Let Me Be…Next Level Energy.” “For my final collection with Reebok, I had to make sure we brought it to the next level. I needed every piece from the slides to the jumpsuit to be as big, bold, and fun as we could make them,” explained the Bronx bred rapper.

“It started with advertisement, and I just loved what they brought to the table,” Cardi B told FN about the partnership. “ I love that they saw my ideas. When I went to their headquarters in Boston, they welcomed me. It was freezing that day and I just had such a good experience and I thought, ‘Why not?’ I didn’t want to team up with someone who doesn’t care about my vision and just the product, but Reebok did.”

The Cardi B x Reebok partnership, which launched September 29,2022, features two styles: the Club C Cardi ($100) and the Cardi Coated Club C Double ($80). The two styles come in three different colors and are available in both women’s and children’s sizing. The Club C Cardi style sold out in the United States in 30 minutes.

“It boils down to two pieces: authenticity and shared values,” said Caroline Machen, Reebok’s Global VP of Marketing, about the ingredients for a successful partnership. “It can’t feel forced. Black American textile artist Bisa Butler has taken the art of quilting to the next level,  bringing the genre from the blankets your granny used to make to an art that only the ancestors could dream it to be. Butler’s quilted portraits are more like paintings and less about the use of scraps and pieces of old clothes used to create a blanket of memories in the past.  Bisa’s work transforms photographs that capture the souls, personalities, and humanity of Black men, women, and children into quilts in vibrant colors and patterns that offer in-depth, portrayals of the Black experience while uplifting and celebrating the art of quilting.  Her latest portrait of legendary hip hop artists Salt-N-Pepa and Spinderella will be shown at this year’s Art Bazel in Miami Beach at the Jeffery Deitch gallery.

 In an Instagram Post to her 217K quilt-loving followers, Butler says  “At long last, I’m thrilled to announce that my quilted portrait of Salt-n-Pepa will be unveiled at the famed Jeffrey Deitch Gallery Goddesses booth @artbasel Miami. Please come experience this homage to powerful women of which I am so honored to be a part of.”  The details from the hoop earrings to the dookie rope chains are absolutely stunning. According to Butler, The artistic 8×10 quilted recreation of Salt-N-Pepa’s debut album, titled ‘Hot, Cool & Vicious’  was created using a myriad of fabrics including, printed cotton by master printmaker Gary Lichtenstein Editions; Dutch wax fabric by Vlisco, vinyl, wool, velvet, and glitter Quilted and appliquéd.

Reebok and former Reebok designer Nicole McLaughlin presents her interpretation of the Club C Geo Mid, one of Reebok’s newest women’s shapes. Earlier this season, the silhouette made its debut as a mid-cut variation of the well-liked Club C Double Geo, which debuted in 2021.

Following her start at Reebok in 2015, McLaughlin transformed her passion for upcycling from a hobby into a career in 2018. Since then, she has created a wide variety of useful footwear, clothing, and accessories out of discarded and thrifted items, such as slippers, shorts, and bralettes, ranging from volleyballs to gummy candies.

“I dug into my knowledge of the Reebok archive and drew inspiration for these shoes from the 1996 Reebok Etna Mid,” said McLaughlin. “The idea was to take design cues from a forgotten model, apply them to a new silhouette, and upgrade it with modern materials and details such as ripstop nylon and reflective binding. I love the outdoors, hiking, and the trail, so I wanted to bring that into this project.”

The medial, lateral, and heel of the Reebok x Nicole McLaughlin Club C Geo Mid (HP9260) have additional storage pockets that are reminiscent of hiking backpacks. The element honors McLaughlin’s pursuit of ultra-functional design. In order to keep the shoelaces out of the way, the tongue also has a lace garage.

“I am so honored to be welcomed back by Reebok as a collaborator and become a part of the brand’s history,” continued McLaughlin. “It is so rare for women to get recognition and collaborations in this space, and I feel lucky to have received that from a brand that has been a part of my life for almost a decade.”

Reebok x Nicole McLaughlin’s Club C Geo Mid will be exclusively pre-released on StockX on December 5th through DropX, the platform’s direct-to-consumer product distribution system.

The $160 shoe will be available in women’s sizes, and all DropX sales will go to Sky High Farms. On Dec.9th, Reebok.com will launch the shoe’s global release after its pre-release on DropX.

In a heartfelt statement, Irene Cara’s publicist announced on Saturday that she had passed away suddenly at 63  in her Florida home.

 As the tributes started pouring in for the “Fame,” “Flashdance” singer and “Sparkle” actress from everyone from Mariah Carey, Niecy Nash, and Viola Davis the rumors also started stirring on the reasons for her untimely passing. Fans begin speculating of the reasons why blaming her death on everything from the Covid-19 vaccine as well as bazaar theories like “sudden death Syndrome” all trying to answer the questions as to why a woman who is fairly healthy and young dies so suddenly. In a statement on their Twitter account, her team pleads with fans to not speculate but to wait for a complete autopsy to be done saying,   “For Those who are blaming a vaccine for her death, please don’t.  We don’t have medical answers yet and won’t until an autopsy is completed.    Check out her full statement below

True Religion joined forces with Dreezy to create “The Diamond Collection” a one-time 10-piece women’s collection sold exclusively on True Religion’s website.  The X Dreezy Collection is the Chicago MC’s first foray into fashion design and features an array of feminine pieces that includes a cropped trucker jacket, stacked jeans, repurposed cargo midi skirt, repurposed stacked jeans, a denim mini skirt, a denim wrap top, a denim lace-up bustier, and a cropped tank with True Religion’s signature horseshoe shape and diamond motifs used across the collection. The Collaboration is the first female-focused campaign for the brand in four years and the first one released since celebrating its 20th Anniversary. And given the brand’s previous partnerships with hip hop artists like 2 Chainz and Chief Keef, collaborating with Dreezy was a logical next step, “I’m beyond grateful True Religion trusted me to have a collection of my own,” Dreezy said in a statement. “I’m honored to dedicate this to [my friends] and see the whole world representing them.” Leading up to the launch, Dreezy wrote to her 1.4M fans on Instagram with the caption “ I’m soo proud to announce that Im releasing my 1st and very own clothing collection with @truereligion !! A rep for dancehall singer Spice Official denies she’s in a coma after BBL surgery complications in Dominican Republic.

“Spice hasn’t had a heart attack, neither is she in a coma,” her booking agent Ray Alexander told Dancehall magazine after the rumors spread on social media.

“Those are all lies. The rumors were caused by people not knowing where she was and because she hadn’t posted on IG.”

Alexander didn’t say where Spice is, which only added fuel to the conspiracy theories.

The rumors began after the 40-year-old singer took a break from her Instagram page.

She wrote: “I’ll be off of Instagram for a while, I’m tired of being their only target for clout and click bait. Let’s see if they’re still gonna talk about “Only Me”. I refuse to answer to the noise they creating to gain my attention.”

Spice reportedly underwent multiple surgeries in the past, including breast implants, liposuctions, and BBL surgery.

Congratulations go out to Cheryl “Salt” James and Sandy “Pepa” Denton who are the latest celebs to get a star on Hollywood’s walk of fame.  On Tuesday, The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced that the MCs will receive their star in the Recording category, on November 4th, this honor marks the 2,739th star on the walk of fame.  According to Ana Martinez the Walk of Fame Producer, their star will be placed right next to another Queen of Hip Hop, Missy Elliot.  “We’re placing these ladies of Hip Hop royalty adjacent to Amoeba Music and right next to the Walk of Fame star of another Queen of Hip Hop, Missy Elliott!” Martinez says in a statement.  Missy showed all her love on Twitter with the caption that says “ What a Blessing to be beside Salt & Pepa who inspired me to Rap! My sisters for over 2 Decades! & they took a lot of Criticism coming in this game to make the female emcees after them walk through the door a lot easier Thank you S&P RESPECT.” 

The duo returns the sentiment to Missy on their official Twitter page saying “Our stars being beside each other makes it all the more special. Your sisterhood and friendship is such a blessing. Thank you @MissyElliott ”
