Dreamville is introducing a number of new apparel pieces today as part of the brand’s 2023 collection, with each new item on sale beginning tomorrow, Friday, January 27 at 3:00 p.m. ET via Dreamville.com.

The new garment slate features a number of new unisex silhouettes in the Premium classics collection including the team’s first-ever puffer jacket, which also highlights the debut of the team’s custom Dreamville-branded zipper. This custom-designed cloud-printed jacket features the iconic Dreamville logo spelled out in bright yellow letters set atop a black zippered backdrop, a new manufacturing process that took years in the making to develop.

The rest of the new clothing collection will include cloud-printed basketball shorts, matching grey hoodie and sweatpants sets, and the classic Dreamville logo-printed black pants, t-shirts, and shorts; as well as the debut of Dreamville’s first-ever tear-away logo-printed pants and quilted coaches jackets. Limited quantities of each item are available so fans are encouraged to act fast and purchase today.

Dreamville’s apparel division within the larger Dreamville Ventures umbrella company continues to be led by longtime partner and Apparel President Adam Roy. Roy is not only responsible for spearheading efforts to successfully revitalize the brand’s flagship music festival in North Carolina, but he has also expanded the team’s cut-and-sew line by collaborating with major retail brands and increasing exposure worldwide. 

Design for the new apparel line was led by Raeana Anaïs, Director of Design for Dreamville, who has created memorable apparel items and performance outfits for many of Dreamville’s music artists for years including Grammy Award-winning Dreamville cofounder J. Cole, while continuing to design the seasonal collection for the core brand.

“Our team began developing this new Dreamville-branded zipper five years ago, and we have been eager to share the design ever since. After a four-year partnership, Cardi and Reebok are wrapping up their partnership.

Reebok CEO Todd Krinsky stated that the partnership with Cardi has proudly pushed boundaries and have put an emphasis on inclusivity and self- expression. He went on to say, “we’re so grateful for our partnership with Cardi over the years. Having the opportunity to collaborate with someone as passionate, iconic and talented as her is an unmatched experience and will certainly leave a lasting impact on the brand”. Today on her Instagram, Cardi posted her final collection which is the second part of her “Let Me Be…Next Level Energy.” “For my final collection with Reebok, I had to make sure we brought it to the next level. I needed every piece from the slides to the jumpsuit to be as big, bold, and fun as we could make them,” explained the Bronx bred rapper.

“It started with advertisement, and I just loved what they brought to the table,” Cardi B told FN about the partnership. “ I love that they saw my ideas. When I went to their headquarters in Boston, they welcomed me. It was freezing that day and I just had such a good experience and I thought, ‘Why not?’ I didn’t want to team up with someone who doesn’t care about my vision and just the product, but Reebok did.”

The Cardi B x Reebok partnership, which launched September 29,2022, features two styles: the Club C Cardi ($100) and the Cardi Coated Club C Double ($80). The two styles come in three different colors and are available in both women’s and children’s sizing. The Club C Cardi style sold out in the United States in 30 minutes.

“It boils down to two pieces: authenticity and shared values,” said Caroline Machen, Reebok’s Global VP of Marketing, about the ingredients for a successful partnership. “It can’t feel forced. Who Cardi is and what her fans love about her- those are the same values Reebok has. And the, it’s accepting and bringing that message forward into product.”

According to a GAP sales rep, the unorthodox clothing display decision was made at Ye’s request.  Although the collection isn’t available at all GAP stores, it is available at the Yeezy GAP online shop.

Many hip-hop stars are known for creating their own clothing, shoes, or jewelry line, but rapper Fabolous might be the first artist to have a line that includes a Parisian jewelry trunk and other upscale accessories that can fit in with both work and play fits.

The resulting collab between Fabolous and well-known jeweler Greg Yuna is a new line in the NYC-based vegan and sustainable accessories brand, Hemincuff. The collection which features a variety of trunks, backpack and a holster bag, is decorated in the brand’s exclusive geo-print, which is inspired by Hemincuff Founder and Creative Director Noel Veloz’s love for Parisian fashion, art, and architecture as well as hip-hop culture.

Noel Veloz details the collaboration stating, “I wanted to drop this Paris Collection with Fabolous and Greg Yuna because they are defined as tastemakers in the industry. Fabolous has been my all-time favorite hip-hop artist since I was a kid, and my dream has always been to work alongside him and that’s just what I did. I bumped into his manager at one of my retail jobs, he introduced me to Greg Yuna, and the rest was history. With this collaboration, I’ll become the first Dominican American to release vegan leather trunks handmade in Mexico. I’m really looking forward to creating my own lane with this collection.”

According to Veloz, the line’s geo-print was inspired by his close relationship and love for his family with the six leaves in the print representing the six letters in the word “family” and the six members of Noel’s family. The two darker colors represent Veloz’s parents and the four royal blue leaves, which is Veloz’s and his father’s favorite color, represent his three other siblings. When his family comes together the geo print is complete.

Fabolous describes how he was excited to be a part of the collaboration as Veloz and his family hail from the Bronx, Fabolous’s home city, stating: “When Noel approached me to be a collaborator in his Hemincuff Paris Collection alongside Greg Yuna, I knew I had to be a part of it. Noel’s Father has been and is the inspiration of these creations and the Hemincuff brand as a whole – him and Noel put the name in the vegan leather! Greg is from Queens, I’m from Brooklyn, and Noel is from the Bronx – it was a New York collaboration! When we come through with the vegan trunk briefcase, we mean business!” 

Hemincuff unveiled the gorgeous  PARIS THE FAMILY X GY collection ($295 – $695), which is now available for pre-order. Customers are able to join the waitlist now on the brand’s website www.hemincuff.com. This limited edition collection will release in Fall 2022. The collection ranges from ($295-$695).

And with a resume that includes the likes of Pop Smoke, Fivio Foreign, Bobby Shmurda, Icewear Vezzo, 42 Dugg, and so many more of today’s hip hop’s hottest stars. 

And with a high-profile clientele, extensive optical background, and huge social media following, the jeweler is unstoppable with the execution of the next phase of his career. Aranbayev seizes the moment with the launch of his new eyewear venture, known as Jewelz For The Face. The Source’s Bryson “Boom” Paul caught up with the New York-based designer to discuss the launch of his new brand, collaborating on memorable pieces with some of the biggest names in music, what’s next and so much more in the exclusive interview, below.

[The Source]: Who is Danny Aranbayev of Jewelz For The Face?

He is a loving father to a son, a Caring and supportive partner to his wife, a respectful son to his parents, and a great pillar of the community.

How competitive is the celebrity eyewear industry? 

[Danny Aranbayev]: Like every industry, there is always going to be competition but because I was one of the first and have the best quality we are looked at as the premier source.

What are the requirements for an individual/influencer to be considered for consultation with Danny Aranbayev or Jewelz For The Face? 

We are a very inviting company and as long as one reaches out to us through our channels, we can set up a face-to-face meeting.

Tell us about your first celebrity client and their experience?

Ashanti was my first celebrity client. We styled her glasses for her album cover with Tory Lanez (Chixtape 4).

What is it about Jewelz For The Face eyewear that is different from other eyewear brands? 

We only deal with high-end luxury brands and we only use the best goods. We also make custom lenses to fit many different styles.

What attracts you the most about the hip-hop culture? 

I love the lifestyle, I love the music and I love the life experiences that comes from it.

Tell us a story involving your favorite hip-hop album of all time?

Get Rich or Die Tryin’ is my favorite album. I stayed home from school that day so I can get the CD at the store the day it came out and then listened to it on my CD player all day.

What do today’s recording artists look for in their eyewear? 

Big diamonds, and uniquely custom lens designs for men. Everyone is into glow in the dark now. We can make any lens glow.

Tell us about your evolution in hip hop as a designer? 

I started as an optician and ended up as a face jeweler. As my clients kept asking for more unique things I had to step up and make the magic happen in order to keep my client base happy. 

You can’t have success without first experiencing trial and error. Tell us about some of your setbacks in the industry and what you’ve learned from them?

One time, in the beginning, I did not make sure that order that I delivered client matched what they requested. It was a good mistake because in the end, they liked what I made better. But due to the volume, I have the most important thing making sure the custom order matches what the client is hoping for. That is why I like people to come to the show so they can see exactly what they are going to get. 

Most of your clients have released new albums this year. Any particular favorites among the new releases? 

The Fivio Foreign album is what I am currently listening to as well as anything J.I.

From a style point-on-view, what should the average wear look for when exploring new eyewear? 

Shape of lens is key to match someone’s face. Once we get the lens then we can play around with frames and ice.

Your clientele includes Bobby Shmurda, Fivio Foreign, 42 Dugg and Ashanti. Tell us about a particular conversation you’ve experienced with them about life through jewelry? 

I remember bobby coming in and he was discussing his new song Cartier Lenses and from that, we worked on the pair for the single cover.

What is a big misconception about the eyewear industry? 

People think there are limitations of how we can customize. But we can do anything.

Tells us about the importance of entrepreneurship in hip hop? 

Hip Hop is a constantly evolving culture at the forefront of America; being in the game gives me the opportunity to grow as far as my imagination takes me. 

How do you feel seeing your products on music videos, billboards, and the biggest album covers of a generation? 

Every time I see my product in public I know I am doing something special.

Who are some desired clients you would like to see in the latest Jewelz For The Face? 

Drake and Future are the top 2 artists I am trying to work with.

Where do you find inspiration for creativity and designing the latest eyewear collection?

Everything is invented here, it comes to me naturally.

Tell us about your personal favorite(s) among the brand?

Anything Maybach as well as Cartier Buffs.

How do you evolve in this industry? 

Keep breaking barriers and being different. 

Tell us about the first time you met Bobby Shmurda? 

Bobby is a great guy with tons of energy and loves diamonds and glasses. How could we not get along?

Fivio Foreign just released his debut album, which is one of the most parts of an artist’s career. Did he reach out to you for eyewear during the album process? 

Yeah, we made a custom pair for him recently to pick up his pair. And they have been worn by him in many videos.

How do approach the creative process for your male clients and female client’s when deciding on desired eyewear? 

I take what they want from their imagination and put it into real life. I turn their VISIONS into eyewear.

When coming up with a new collection, break down the creative process?

We first pick the shape, then the size, then the lens then draw it out. Color is last.

What are your plans for the brand in 2022?

Continue to grow the customization side as well as drop my own frames.

The best advice to someone looking to buy a new pair of designer eyewear that will make them one-of-a-kind?

It was a no-brainer that BACARDÍ called on Cam Kirk to create its first NFT (non-refundable token). After all the renowned, Atlanta-based photographer has built a resume real enough for two millenniums.

He has worked with ATLiens such as Migos, Gucci Mane, Young Thug, T.I., and more, in addition to leading campaigns for Nike, Reebok and Beats By Dre, just to name a few.

Anything that Cam Kirk touches, turns to gold, while simultaneously redefining creative entrepreneurship and philanthropy in the process. His latest endeavor with BACARDÍ is no different.

“Cam was a natural choice,” says Lisa Pfenning, VP of BACARDÍ for North America. “He’s had an illustrious career…. and now, the NFT enables him to explore a new type of photographic medium in rum. There are clear synergies between our brand and Cam, formed by our shared desire to move people both physically and emotionally.”

The NFT launch embodies BACARDÍ’S “Do What Moves You” campaign, which launched back in 2018.

“The campaign is a driving force in each and every initiative that BACARDÍ creates,” says Pfenning.

The NFT, which will go on sale next month, will showcase BACARDÍ’s new Reserva Ocho Sherry Cask.

Fresh from his Clio Award-winning campaign with Reebok, starring himself, Cardi B and Shaq, the Maryland native recently celebrated the 4-year anniversary of “Cam Kirk Studios.”

With over 20 employees, the creative hub has produced platinum-certified album covers, notable brand campaigns and more. BACARDÍ’S first NFT was produced at “Cam Kirk Studios” as well. It has also served as a collaborative learning space for artists in the community.

Cam is intentional about philanthropic inclusion with each partnership.

“The goal is always to better the community around me,” he says. “This project is no different. The proceeds from this NFT will go directly to a partnership that BACARDÍ has with the NAACP, to support Black-owned community bars and restaurants. That’s the part that moves me the most.”

There could not be a better way to commemorate his 4th studio anniversary than by giving back.

Through his creativity and camera lens, Cam Kirk continues to impact lives with one capture at a time. The NFT will go on sale next month through a dedicated microsite for only two weeks. The recipient will also receive an autographed case of BACARDÍ Reserva Ocho Sherry Cask Finish.

Beyoncé has created a clothing line honoring Black cowboys. 

The “Ivy Park Rodeo” collection from Adidas was launched Friday featuring the Houston music superstar, seen above in crop top, and denim chaps. The collection features 58 adult apparel styles, 5 adult footwear styles, and 13 different accessories.

It also features actor Glynn Turman (House of Lies, The Wire, A Different World) a real life cowboy, wearing a denim track suit while riding a horse.  Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles Lawson, and Houston rapper’s Monaleo and Tobe Nwigwe are also in the campaign. 

Inspired by the inimitable style and undeniable influence of Black cowboys and cowgirls, the “IVY Park Rodeo” collection celebrates the formidable impact of Black men and women on American Western culture.

Also making an appearance in the ad campaign is Roc Nation’s Snoh Aalegra.

Beyoncé tells Houston Chronicle her childhood trips to Houston Rodeo inspired the line while noting American history needs to recognize more Black, brown, and Native cowboys stories.

“After understanding where the word ‘cowboy’ came from, I realized how much of the Black, brown and Native cowboy stories are missing in American history,” Beyoncé said. “I am proud to represent Houston culture, my roots and all the people who understand fried Snickers and fried turkey legs.”

The collection merges fashion with Western tradition and features buckles, chaps and a cow print in an unexpected purple-and-brown mix. There are wide-leg denim pants and bodysuits, a denim track suit and bucket hat, a canvas waist bag and even a cowboy hat, among other pieces.”

A$AP Rocky PacSun Capsule

A$AP Rocky is making moves in 2021- both in the studio and now in the world of fashion. Earlier this week, the All Smiles artist debuted his new capsule collections for PacSun to largely rave reviews.

The Rocky x PacSun collection was launched under A$AP Worldwide in partnership with global streetwear brand PacSun. The line features two capsules- one with iconic sneaker brand Vans as well as one with sports heritage brand Russell Athletic.

A teaser reel on Instagram showed some behind the scenes looks at the capsules’ development, which appears to be largely influenced by skateboard and athletic culture. The video also showcased PacSun’s new logo, which is surrounded by flames.

The Vans capsule features two new versions of the Old Skool silhouette (one built on white leather and the other built atop black canvas).  The pairs retail for about $110 and $100 USD, respectively.

The Russell Athletic capsule consists of athletic wear including T-shirts, sweats, and fleeces. The t-shirts are bright bold colors with “Russell” printed in large simple font. The fleeeces feature an all-over skull print and come in a variety of neon colors as well as black.

In a honor of the collection, Rocky issues the following statement: “This partnership is special to me because it’s a collaboration that combines my roots, A$AP Worldwide, and some of the most respected heritage brands that have roots in both the sportswear and lifestyle worlds. Together with Pacsun, we will be releasing several limited edition collections that are both nostalgic and forward at the same time.”

Diplomacy Free the Future

Over the past year, fashion has taken a backseat to many other important causes- the pandemic, social justice movements, and more. However, New Orleans Pelicans player Wes Iwundu is bridging the gap between social justice and streetwear with their new Free the Future capsule collection from streetwear brand Diplomacy.

Diplomacy has been worn by hip-hop artists such as  Summer Walker, London on da Track, Joey Bada$$, EarthGang, Dave East, Desiigner and Saweetie to name a few. However, the Free the Future collection is about more than just stylish threads.

Iwundu, an NBA small forward, teamed with Diplomacy Creative Director Eric Archibald on the timely, inspiring, and uplifting collection of statement tees, hoodies, shorts, socks, which were launched on June 19 to commemorate Juneteenth.

 “With virus raging across the world, and so much economic hardship, racial injustice, and political division, this is a time for all of us to imagine the world as it could be.” Iwundu explains, “We may have physically been in lockdown, but the key to escape is in our imagination.”

“The NBA is where fashion and self-expression is today… basketball players have taken their style and activism to the next level” says Archibald, “so we’re really excited to be working with Wes on this.”

All items in the collection are made in California, providing much-needed employment in the post-pandemic economy. Most notably, a portion of proceeds from the capsule will be donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Houston, an organization near and dear to Iwundu, which delivers high-quality afterschool programs to their communities’ most at-risk youth.

Prices for the capsule collection range from about $20 – $210, all customers will receive a limited-edition Free The Future mask and sticker with each order.

Nicki Minaj and Tekashi 6ix9ine just released their new video for ‘Trollz’ and Tekashi’s post prison debut has already broken YouTube records. While the colorful video is full of tea-sipping subliminals and lots of breasts shaking footage, Tekashi 6ix9ine’s trademark rainbow lace front wig was the real standout.

While hip hop has had many looks, styles and aesthetics—rappers in wigs is generally uncommon. Pop star Michael Jackson was the first entertainer I can remember that wowed the world with his smooth baby hair-ladened lace front. We grew up seeing MJ’s afros and jheri curls, but when he stepped out with new hair in his infamous ‘In The Closet’ video…no one figured it out until years later.

Lace front wigs have been around for years in the Hollywood world often used to cover up hairlines and to enhance artistic costumes. Actresses and movie stars began wearing them more often and before we knew it, lace fronts hit the streets and are now seen almost everywhere.

Nicki and 6ix9ine released their new ‘Trollz’ collaboration which hit 75 million views in two days and both debuted new colorful wigs made by celebrity hairstylist Arrogant Tae . Nicki posted an Instagram video telling 6ix9ine to relax after he ruined the surprise about his new look.

Even 23 years after the untimely death of “The Greatest Rapper Of All Time”, the “Notoriouss” legacy still lives on.

For more than two decades, the borough of Brooklyn has celebrated its fallen king Christopher “Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace. On the radio, in the streets and even the clothing reflects the importance of Biggie Smalls to Hip Hop in general and Brooklyn in particular. Last night in the middle of Flatbush, Brooklyn, B.I.G.’s daughter T’Yanna Wallace hosted her very first Notoriouss fashion show at AXIS NYC.

T’Yanna and friends took over the spot as they turned the swank Church Avenue spot into a photographic runway. The DJ spun all Biggie classics from his humble beginnings all the way to his posthumous Life After Death LP. Lil’ Cease, Klepto, Nino and the other members of Junior Mafia showed up and showed out for their big brother’s baby girl and her exclusive clothing line.

Today (December 22) marks what would’ve been the 59th birthday of art legend Jean-Michel Basquiat, had it not been for his unfortunate passing at the age of 27 on August 12, 1988. While his iconic works of art won’t soon be forgotten, it’s always great to see how Basquiat pieces are still influencing the worlds of fashion, art and music in the over three decades it’s been since his passing. Just take a look at this dope watch collaboration from luxury timepiece brand DAEM to see what we mean.

Arriving in a handful of styles, the DAEM x Basquiat watch collaboration came to life thanks to official support from his estate. The Brooklyn-based label utilized three of Basquait’s classic pieces to construct a pretty cool collection, each option incorporating special designs and hues throughout from the dial to the band.

The “Now’s The Time” option is easily the standout, honoring the original 1985 painting of the same name while also showcasing a color theme on the band that many have frequently associated with Gucci. However, this time around it’s inspired by a shirt he was wearing in an image taken by renowned photographer William Coupon in 1986 (seen above). Made in Switzerland, complete with Swiss Ronda 515 movement, this watch is finely executed with a black enamel-coated dial for an extra opulent flex.

Those that like something a little more subtle will appreciate the “Skull” timepiece. Although it’s the most expensive of the three due to the customized Italian leather strap (seen above), this watch definitely gives you all of your money’s worth. The Swiss ETA caliber 2824-2 25-jewel automatic movement and sapphire crystal glass add the ultimate final touch to match the clever use of Basquait’s masterpiece “Undiscovered Genius” from 1983.

Rounding out the options is this clean “Warrior” watch. Inspired by the colorful 1982 painting of the same name, this one is sophistication and style all wrapped into one — sounds very similar to the man behind the inspo if you ask us! The metallic gold-plated casing is a nice touch, but the full grain Italian leather band is the quality that’ll really stop time.

Dear Family, Last night after two months of working around the clock, my team and I had to make the hardest decision we could have imagined: to pull out of the race and not go to court this morning. This was one of the hardest decisions I have made in my life thus far. My team and I still feel very strongly about Barneys: what it stands for and what it could mean in the future. We believe it has its place in New York’s landscape and beyond. During the process we were fortunate to meet a lot of amazing people who joined our team and gave everything they had to save this New York institution. Unfortunately, we failed to convince enough people in the business community that it made economic sense to keep Barneys alive. Some unexpected road blocks were put in our way. We understood from the beginning that looking at spreadsheets and numbers, it did not make sense but we saw a future beyond that. We knew that once we overcame that hurdle there would be light at the end of the tunnel. I apologize if I have failed anyone, and gave anyone false hope by not being able to close the deal. I know this chapter is about be be over and not the way I wished or imagined. I hope something greater will come from It. I want to thank my team who gave the fight of their lives and haven’t slept for the past two months. To all the people who believed in the dream and kept us going beyond the imagination. To all Barney’s family members who we met personally and the ones we met virtually and made us feel part of the family in that very short period. I wish I could do more. Following a few attempts to keep the brand alive, including an unsuccessful “Save Barneys” bid by KITH co-founder Sam Ben-Avraham (seen above), Barneys was sold for a whopping $271.4 million USD to ABG. The brand management company, which also has Aeropostale, Nautica and Juicy Couture amongst other labels under its belt, originally planned to have all Barneys locations closed and its assets liquidated. However, the New York Post now reports that the retailer’s landlord, Ashkenazy Acquisition Corporation, announced today that a plan was worked out to keep the iconic NYC flagship store on Madison Avenue opened for at least another year.

Here’s the latest on the situation, via the New York Post:

The plan will be to “keep the Madison Avenue store open in a smaller footprint for the next 12 months while we continue to explore longer term solutions,” Ashkenazy said in the statement. “Fred’s will remain open as well,” it said, referring to Barneys’ restaurant on the 9th floor, known as a hot spot for celebrities and titans of industry.

The announcement came just hours after Barneys Chief Executive Daniella Vitale stepped down after the luxury chain was sold to licensing firm Authentic Brands Group, which had planned to liquidate stores, sources told The Post.

Under ABG’s plan, all Barneys stores were to be liquidated with the possible exception of the Boston store. ABG had wanted to keep its Madison Ave. and Beverly Hills stores open, but only if it could renegotiate leases on those stores.

Meanwhile, Barneys boutiques will be opened inside Saks Fifth Avenue stores.

As stated above, ABG is planning on licensing the Barneys name and intellectual property in general to one of its biggest competitors, Saks Fifth Avenue, which is owned by Hudson’s Bay Co. While this may seem like the loss of a legend for many fashion heads across the world, ABG is actually making moves that might breath new life into Barneys.

Take a look at the official statement that Authentic Brands Group has made about the acquisition, as reported by The Business Of Fashion:

“ABG will leverage its international scale, marketing expertise, and network of best-in-class partners to grow Barneys New York’s global presence across retail, including pop-ups, shop-in-shops, e-commerce, and a new freestanding store in a key US market. Its initial focus will be on high-fashion collaborations, branded namesake products, and expanding international retail in both brick and mortar and [e-commerce.] There is also a strategy in development for Freds to export this beloved eatery to luxury destinations around the world.”

However this turns out, we just know one thing is certain: that Barneys liquidation sale is about to be wild!

The Fendi Prints On x Nicki Minaj collection takes its name from that memorable line in “Chun-Li” — “Ay yo I been on/bitch you been corn/Bentley tints on/Fendi prints on” — and the style selections are equally as impressive as her bars on the song. Sneakers, bucket hats, tracksuits, eyewear and a standout leather bomber jacket are just some of the key pieces guys can cop, meanwhile the ladies are treated to all the things girls love: old school door-knocker earrings, bags, bathing suits, outwear and a handful of accessories amongst other items. Even though the designs were overseen by Fendi creative director Silvia Venturini Fendi, it seems as though Nicki had free reign throughout the entire process, whether it was choosing the Pinkprint-inspired hues or the animated graphic motif used on the T-shirts and hoodies that gives her “Chun-Li” single cover an official Capcom-inspired makeover.

As Pokémon has been a reigning pop culture phenomenon both stateside and overseas for over 20 years now, it’s safe to say that the world will simply never get tired of trying to catch ’em all. For those still riding the Pokémon GO wave, Premium Bandai will soon be releasing a Pokédex smartphone case that’s sure to revitalize your Pokémania from the ’90s.



This version of the fictional handheld Pokémon encyclopedia is modeled after Ash Ketchum’s original journeys through Kanto throughout the show’s formative years. Similar in shape to the real-life Game Boy consoles required to play games like Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue and Pokémon Yellow, the new Pokédex case comes with both pros and cons. While visually it looks amazing, especially in terms of the detailing, this case will unfortunately only fit an iPhone X and older models like the iPhone 6, 7, 8. With the iPhone 11 being the shining star over at Apple at the moment, in addition to the case also not dropping for another five months, they might’ve dropped the Pokéball on this one just a bit.

You can pre-order Premium Bandai’s Pokémon Pokédex iPhone Case right now for $70 USD over at Nintendo Soup. All orders will ship out on or after the March 2020 release date.

Michael B. Jordan’s role as Brand Ambassador for the menswear division of Coach has brought us some pretty cool things since it was first announced last fall, including a dope short film/ad directed by Spike Lee back in February. His latest venture with the luxury fashion house takes things in a completely different direction by tapping into a love for anime, more specifically the hit Japanese manga series Naruto.



Accompanied by a big-budget-style mini movie directed by cinematographer Rachel Morrison (seen above), the new Coach x Michael B. Jordan collection keeps with the fall essentials moreso than trying to recreate Naruto ‘fits from the show. In short, you’ll without a doubt find a cool range of tees that feature motifs of fan-favorite characters or a standout shearling-collared denim jacket with a fire “Rasengan in motion” animation on the back. What you won’t find unfortunately are a few Naruto-style headbands or even a windbreaker with the signature blue, white and orange color theme. Given this was a joint effort creatively — Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers played a part in the design story as well — we can see why MBJ didn’t go for the full flex. Next time though!

So many different elements come into play within this three-minute clip brought to life by legendary music video director Dave Meyers. It starts off pretty grim, showing the ASTROWORLD emcee standing under dark skies while sparking up a few clouds of his own. As the narrative progresses, we see Trav get snatched up by a crew of colorfully-masked crooks in suits, then stripped by a few, well, strippers before finally getting his Mortal Kombat on against a purple figure. It all ends with his head high in the clouds — the “highest in the room,” get it? — gazing at a curvy figure that very much looks like his very recent ex-wifey Kylie Jenner. Coincidence maybe, but the timing is very interesting to say the least.

There’s probably no partnership that would be more anticipated, or more meta to be absolutely honest, than a joint collab between Gucci & Gucci Mane. However, here we are starting off the month of October, and a special fashion campaign between the Italian luxury brand and the rap superstar with luxurious tastes is finally happening.



The Gucci Cruise 2020 “ComeAsYouAre_RSVP” campaign incorporates one of the most juxtaposed visuals in a lookbook that we’ve seen in a while. Famed director Harmony Korine was able to capture a “glam-meets-gangster” aesthetic that appeared to be the party of the century onset, with appearances by the Godfather of Punk himself Iggy Pop and British actress Sienna Miller to accompany La Flare in this stylish shindig. Footwear, tracksuits, carry-alls, womenswear, tailored fits and a fine selection of menswear pieces are all highlighted in this bourgeois-yet-bossed-up campaign. Good job, Gucci — both of you!

50 Cent, one of Hip-Hop’s most successful acts in multiple fields, is passing on the gift of glam to his youngest son, Sire Jackson. For the 7th birthday of his pint-sized offspring, 50 went all out with diamond chain gift that clocked in at a whopping $50,000 USD according to The Blast.

Even though LACOSTE is no stranger to streetwear collaborations — props on that GOLF LE FLEUR* collection with Tyler, The Creator from this past summer! — seeing the iconic high-end lifestyle imprint join with the likes of Supreme for Fall 2019 is still a bit of a surprise. Thankfully, it’s a pleasant one to say the least.



Officially announced today, the collaborative collection offers up a good range of essential autumn-ready apparel. A standout wool bomber jacket is sure to be the star of this set, but that’s not to say that the rest is less-than-stellar by a long shot: a half-zip puffy pullover with matching track pants, striped cardigans in three color options, a clean sweatshort set and pique long-sleeved polos with matching pique pants are all worthy pickups for the season. There’s a scene in the cult-classic ’90s film Clueless where beloved main character, Cher Horowitz, literally flexes on us all by operating her very own virtual stylist — call it a “digital closet” if you will. Now, almost 25 years later, Facebook is gearing up to introduce a similar artificial intelligence system that could change the way you get dressed in the morning forever.



Fashion++, Facebook’s digital “style editor” for your everyday wardrobe choices, operates in a way that’s more constructive criticism and less Simon Cowell. According to the official beta website, the program will make minimal edits to your ‘fit and suggest adjustments catered to what’s considered stylish.

Take a look below for an official breakdown of how it works, via Facebook AI:

“The system uses a discriminative fashionability classifier that is trained on thousands of publicly available images of outfits that have been judged to be stylish. These serve as ground truth examples of fashionable outfits, and unfashionable examples are then bootstrapped by swapping garments on the fashionable examples with their least similar counterparts.

Once the classifier is trained, our system gradually updates the outfit in order to make it more fashionable. An image-generation neural network renders the newly adjusted look, using a variational auto-encoder to generate the silhouette and a conditional generative adversarial network (cGAN) to generate the color and pattern. The latent encodings learned by this generator are further used to identify which garments in its inventory will best achieve the style.”

Facebook believes that Fashion++ will change the game of existing digital style guide apps by helping you tweak your existing outfit instead of shopping and spending on more gear. While we believe that everyone should simply rock what they like, it would be cool to step into the next era of fashion tech with something as cool and complimentary as an online personal stylist attached to your social media account.

Sometimes we honestly feel like the world doesn’t deserve Keke Palmer. From her amazing skills as an singer/actress to that exuberant personality on social media, the former Scream Queens sensation is one of our favorite HERSource heroines! Originally seen during the brand’s Fall/Winter 2019 Paris Fashion Week runway show back in January, the jacket is finally hitting retailers overseas and here in the States. The design scheme is a reversed take on classic puffer jackets, arriving with perfect timing to coincide with the 2019 fall season beginning in a few days. On the bottom — err, top? — a “Parental Advisory Explicit Content” motif is included with an upside-down placement to emphasize the theme even further, and Vetements’ standard oversized fit is present as well for one final eye-grabbing detail. Outwear is one of the key items that we’ve seen the fashion world get experimental with in recent times, so we’ve got to give props to the Gvasalia brothers on this one. However, whether or not the steep price is warranted for such an interesting fashion statement is still up for debate. We’ll let you all be the judge of that!

From people to products, nobody likes anything labeled as ‘fake.’ That’s why product authentication services have made a huge surge in the market in recent years, especially when considering the increased rate at which counterfeit items are making their way over to the United States. Just last month, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection stopped an attempted smuggle job at LAX of fake handbags, belts, footwear, watches and electronics amongst other items estimated to be worth a whopping $3.4 million USD in total.

Enter Entrupy, a new product authentication app that could quite possibly put an end to the fake trend in fashion once and for all.

The initiative was created to accelerate collaboration between LVMH and innovative startups on development of forward-thinking solutions and services for the company’s portfolio of 75 brands as well as the luxury market overall. . As a participant in the six-month program, Entrupy will have a dedicated workspace in Paris’ Station F, the world's largest startup facility, from which we can liaise to discover business opportunities with LVMH brands, known as “Maisons. We are the only startup in the program focused on product authentication. . “Product counterfeiting is a burgeoning issue, especially for luxury brands, and our solution keeps counterfeits from entering the supply chain. Officially backed by the prestigious LVMH for its La Maison des Startups program (seen above) — Entrupy was one of 26 companies chosen from a pool of more than 1,000 applicants — the company boasts a 99.1 percent accuracy rate at being able to spot fake goods, particularly when it comes to handbags. Founded in 2012, Entrupy can verify products from up to 15 luxury brands, of those including Dior, Balenciaga, Chanel, Gucci, Fendi, Hermès and of course Louis Vuitton.

According to WWD, verifying a Chanel bag for example may require up to 500 data points of verification, which Entrupy can decipher in its authentication process when you take & upload pictures of the product. The real gem of it all is the timing that it takes to spot a fake; in just four seconds, the app will tell you whether it’s real, fake or “unidentifiable.” The latter result doesn’t mean your bag is fake exactly, but more or less that an error occurred in the verifying process and may just simply need to be conducted again.

While Entrupy specializes in bags, the company also teases the ability to spoke fake sneakers as well. We’ll keep you updated on that side of the device, but watch it in action below for a better idea of how it all works:

Those who tuned in to watch the premiere yesterday already know how amazing the miniseries itself is, but the accompanying apparel drop is pretty dope as well. The LVMH Prize is one of the most celebrated honors in the fashion industry, particularly for an upcoming designer. Past finalists have included OFF-WHITE™ head honcho Virgil Abloh, Hood By Air’s Shayne Oliver and WALES BONNER namesake designer Grace Wales Bonner, the latter two actually winning in their respective years. Now, another designer of color can now be added to the list of big winners as Johannesburg’s own Thebe Magugu has been named as the 2019 LVMH Prize winner.



At just 26 years old, Magugu was able to win over a panel of judges that included Marc Jacobs, JW Anderson’s Jonathan Anderson, Dior creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri, Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquière, Opening Ceremony founders Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, plus Givenchy’s art director Clare Waight Keller. The prize includes €300,000 EUR (approx. $330,000 USD) and a year of mentorship alongside the aforementioned fashion heavyweights. The feat is pretty astounding, as the competition saw over 1,700 applicants entering from 100 countries across the world. The designs of Thebe Magugu (seen above) are vibrant, colorful and cater to the female figure in the most flattering way. As he states in his official LVMH profile, Magugu and his team “constantly seek new ways of presenting women with clothing that both complies with and enhances the everyday. Sleek, forward-looking design intersects with motifs from our continent’s storied past, providing smart, multifaceted clothes as valuable as their woman.”

The North Face always comes correct with its Black Series, as we saw last year with the brand’s velvet-themed Fall 2018 collection. This time around we’ll be getting a taste of pieces inspired by classics from the vault with a new set of Fall 2019 apparel for both men and women.



Titled “The Archives, Reimagined,” each piece in the set was designed with commuters and explorers in mind who embrace an active lifestyle from the office to the outdoors. The collection as a whole is split into three capsules, including Kazuki, Rage and Tech Denim, that each reinterpret items from The North Face’s classic Urban Exploration product line. The Kazuki set (featured here) incorporates styles by seasoned designer Kazuki Kuraishi that find a fresh middle ground between essential activewear and a stylish streetwear aesthetic. The Rage range — try saying that five times fast! — takes key pieces from the 1992 Rage Collection and gives it all an outdoor-inspired modern reworking. The Tech Denim offering is pretty much self explanatory, adding a premium spin on everyone’s favorite fashion garment.

Check for The North Face’s Fall 2019 Black Series “The Archives, Reimagined” collection to arrive in portions: the Kazuki capsule drops on September 25 in The North Face Williamsburg store, with the Rage releasing on October 9. After popping up last year in the FTP Fall 2018 campaign, NBA icon Dennis Rodman returns to his fashionable ways to help spearhead the Fall/Winter 2019 rollout from Canadian outerwear brand Moose Knuckles.



Taking a trip to the Sacred Glacier, an ice mass in Canada’s Nunavut Territory that moves at the pace of a snail, Moose Knuckles adapted a “Real Life Awaits” theme for this campaign in particular. For Rodman’s part, the five-time NBA champion stands in as a “powerful prophet” in the vain of Alejandro Jodorowsky’s role as “The Alchemist” in the super trippy 1973 film The Holy Mountain. The fantastically surreal themes seen throughout the movie are heavily recreated in this lookbook, which we’ve got to say is a bit wild for a campaign geared towards selling winter coats. Nonetheless, the extra effort put into creativity shines through overall, in addition to the fact that each jacket just looks pretty fresh for the upcoming cold weather seasons.

All Money In's J Stone Confirms Another Nipsey Hussle Album Will 'Definitely' Happen

Last week we got news of an official release date for PUMA’s upcoming TMC Collection, dedicated to the memory of dearly missed MC Nipsey Hussle. Now, the sportswear giant is giving us all a full look at the set before it drops in stores next week.



Comprised of 19 pieces, the range of PUMA x TMC gear was made specifically with Nip in mind. The set as a whole was created using Nipsey’s actual measurements, and even incorporates input from the Victory Lap legend himself from when he was still alive and working on upcoming drops with PUMA’s brand ambassador team. Highlights include tracksuits, like the black one Nipsey is wearing in the shot taken by photographer Jennifer Johnson above, as well as two sneaker colorways for the California silhouette, T-shirts, zip-up jackets and matching chinos for a legit L.A. look. The best part about the collection is that 100% of the net proceeds from sales will be donated to the Neighborhood Nip Foundation. While life without Nipsey will never truly feel complete, at least we all can remember him for his effortlessly cool swag with this commemorative collection. Rest fresh, Nip!
