The NBA Playoffs will begin this Saturday, and one of the stellar first-round matchups will pair the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday. That means more battles between old teammates Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

Will there be beef between the two ball players over their Oklahoma City Thunder days? Not according to Westbrook.

“I think people still think like there’s some beef or something,” Westbrook said to ESPN. “There’s no beef, so I think that’s the good narrative for media, for people to talk about.

“But there’s no beef. I got nothing but respect for him and things he’s done with his career and having to see him back from injury. There’s no beef at all. But he knows I’m going to compete and I know he’s going to compete and that’s all it is.”

The series will open in the Valley of the Sun with an 8:00 pm EDT start on TNT.

In a conversation with a fan, KD wrote: “I’m not gonna lie, I be bothered by nba greats that are jealous of the generations that come after them. That’s just me tho.”

Another fan agreed with Durant, citing he only gets criticized about his personality and not basketball. KD’s reply, “This where I’m at with it….”

Durant is nearing his return to the Phoenix Suns lineup. A report over the weekend placed KD back on the run with Chris Paul and Devin Booker this Wednesday, when the Suns take on the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Valley of the Sun is shining bright. On Wednesday (March. 1) night, Kevin Durant made his debut with the Phoenix Suns as they took on the Charlotte Hornets. It was Durant’s first game back from injury and also the first after his blockbuster trade deadline deal that brought him over from the Brooklyn Nets.

The Suns won the game 105-91, with Durant dropping 23 points in 27 minutes. According to ESPN, Durant was out with a right MCL sprain.

“I feel like I fit in pretty well. Everybody out there was trying to make me as comfortable as possible,” Durant said in postgame. “I just got to keep grinding, man, and this jersey on me will look normal as games go on.”

Durant’s new running mate Devin Booker put up 37 points, six rebounds, and seven assists, showing the terror the two can cause defenses as the league nears the playoffs.

Chris Paul only had two points, but he added 11 assists showing he was the maestro of the offense. center DeAndre Ayton added 16 points and 16 rebounds.

The Suns’ Show will pull into Chicago Friday for a shootout with the Chicago Bulls led by Zach Lavine and DeMar DeRozan. The Bulls are 3-1 after bringing in hometown player Patrick Beverley.

The Kevin Durant era in Brooklyn is over. The Phoenix Suns have added Durant to their core of Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and DeAndre Ayton in a blockbuster trade.

According to ESPN, Durant, and T.J. Warren were traded for Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder, and four unprotected future first-round picks. The draft picks will be for 2023, 2025, 2027, and 2029. The Suns also have an option for a 2028 pick swap.

The trade follows a teardown for the Nets, who just a week ago also had Kyrie Irving and were considered a contender to emerge from the East.

ESPN notes Durant and his business manager, Rich Kleiman, let the Nets front office know that the Phoenix deal was still their preference. For the Nets, acquiring Bridges was a requirement in the agreement.

Kevin Durant Enters Seven-Day Quarantine After COVID Exposure

Over the summer, Kevin Durant requested a trade to leave the Brooklyn Nets before ultimately staying with the team. Since then, the Nets have had a poor season, including firing former head coach Steve Nash and Kyrie Irving being wrapped up in an anti-semitism controversy.

Following a blowout loss to the long-lowly Sacramento Kings on Tuesday, Durant spoke with Bleacher Report‘s Chris Haynes and detailed why he wanted the trade, and revealed that it wasn’t a difficult decision.

“It wasn’t difficult at all to request a trade because it was about ball,” Durant said. “I went to them and was like, ‘Yo, I don’t like how we are preparing. Don’t like shootarounds. I like practices. Need more. I want to work on more s–t. Hold me accountable. Get on my ass in film if that’s going to help you get on everybody else’s head. I want to do more closeouts. I want to work on more shell drills at practice.’”

KD detailed the process was in hopes of making everyone’s life easier.

“This was the type of s–t I was coming at them with. It wasn’t like, ‘Yo, y’all need to make sure everybody around me can make my life easier.’ Hell nah, I want to make everybody else’s life easier. Ask Steve Nash, you can go call him right now. I would say, ‘Yo, I need more closeout drills. We need to practice more.’ That’s what I was on.”

The Nets will take on the Portland Trailblazers as they continue a west coast swing on Thursday (Nov. 17).

Kevin Durant is back with the Brooklyn Nets, and on one of the opening days of training camp, Easy Money Sniper was celebrated with a birthday cake.

Ahead of training camp, Durant was on hand at the 2022 Media Day and spoke about his return to the Brooklyn Nets.

Ahead of training camp, Durant was on hand at the 2022 Media Day and spoke about his return to the Brooklyn Nets. Many wondered what the relationship with head coach Steven Nash would be like after a tough summer relationship. Nash spoke to ESPN about the issue.

“We’re fine,” Nash said to ESPN. “We’re good. Ever since we talked, it’s been like nothing’s changed. I have a long history with Kevin. I love the guy. Families have issues. We had a moment and it’s behind us. That’s what happens. It’s a common situation in the league.

“We all were hurting, seething, to go through what we went through last year, not being able to overcome all that adversity. Sometimes you lose perspective because you expect to win, but the reality is we were able to talk and discuss what we can improve on from last year. And also keep perspective. We went through a ton of stuff.”

The Brooklyn Nets will kick off their season hosting Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans.

Earlier in the summer, when Kevin Durant was still available via trade, there were rumors of a possible reunion with the Golden State Warriors. Speaking with Rolling Stone, Warriors star guard Stephen Curry revealed the team did explore the idea of adding Durant back into the fold.

“There was a conversation internally amongst us about ‘If he was available, would you?'” Curry said. “Every team has those conversations, and obviously in our situation, they’re gonna call me and ask me, ‘How do you feel about it?’

“I was never hesitant. The idea of playing with KD and knowing who he is as a person, from our history in those three years, I think KD’s a really good dude. I think he is misunderstood. I think he has had certain things happen in his life that hurt his ability to trust people around him, in a sense of making him feel safe at all times. So all of those things, I understand, having played with him and gotten to know him. I love that dude.”

Ultimately the deal didn’t happen, and Durant is back in Brooklyn, which Curry was telling Snoop Dogg was the best deal for him.

“Man, he thinks that they’re gonna go to teams — like if he went to Phoenix — that they’re gonna be the same team if he’s there,” Curry said to Snoop.

Kevin Durant remains on the trading block as the Brooklyn Nets have yet to receive an offer that would make them want to part with arguably the best player on the planet.

With the Boston Celtics and Miami HEAT seeming to be the likely destination, the Atlanta Hawks attempted to throw their name into the KD chase.

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Hawks attempted to pair Durant with Trae Young and new teammate Dejounte Murray. The Hawks reportedly offered a package of John Collins, De’Andre Hunter, and one draft pick.

Last month, Kevin Durant stood firm in his request for a trade from the Brooklyn Nets. To the general public, it appears not much has changed or shaken up since.

A new report from ESPN’s Brian Windhorst believes that KD will hold out of training camp.

“A week ago, if you had asked me, ‘Will Kevin Durant hold out of training camp if he’s not traded?’ I would have been like, ‘Ehh, I can’t see it,'” Windhorst said. “Now I can see it. That is what we’re headed toward.”

Brooklyn Nets governor Joe Tsai has heard Kevin Durant’s demand and has firmly cemented himself behind the team’s front office.

In a report on The Athletic, Shams Charania wrote Durant had a meeting with Nets owner Joseph Tsai and laid down the ultimatum of keeping him or head coach Steve Nash and general manager Sean Marks. According to Charania, Durant stated he did not “have faith in the team’s direction.”

The meeting between Durant and Tsai was stated to have been “transparent and professional.”

In a tweet last Monday, Tsai cemented his support for Nash and Marks.

In June, Kevin Durant sent ripple effects through the NBA world when he formally asked for a trade. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, KD made a direct trade request to Nets owner Joe Tsai.

Brooklyn Nets general manager Sean Marks was working alongside Durant and his business partner Rich Kleiman to find a new home for Durant. KD named the Phoenix Suns and Miami HEAT as where he would like to play next. Now, the Suns are out of the running after inking center DeAndre Ayton to a massive deal. The HEAT is believed to still be an option, along with the Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics.

According to ESPN, the previous largest offer sheet was four years and $107 million inked between Otto Porter Jr. and the Brooklyn Nets. His team, the Washington Wizards, matched the offer. The Phoenix Suns matched Ayton’s offer, which will keep him in Phoenix

The offer sheet cancels out any sign and trade deal involving Ayton to the Nets in exchange for Kevin Durant or anywhere else. With the Suns match, Ayton cannot be traded until January 15, and he has the power to veto any trade for a year.

Last month, Kevin Durant sent ripple effects through the NBA when he formally asked for a trade. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, KD made a direct trade request to Nets owner Joe Tsai. Brooklyn Nets general manager Sean Marks is working alongside Durant and his business partner Rich Kleiman to find a new home for Durant. KD named the Phoenix Suns and Miami HEAT as where he would like to play next. ESPN noted over half of the NBA contacted the Nets to check into Durant’s availability.

The belief then was that Ayton could be a key piece to the Suns landing Durant. That looks to be all but lost now.

Durant’s trade request comes just days after Nets co-star Kyrie Irving decided to return to the team to “full his commitment” to the organization and Durant. Now the belief is Irving will also be moved. Options for Irving currently include the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks.

Durant and Irving reportedly have had no contact with the Nets after opting into his deal. There is a small possibility that the Nets could move Irving and Durant together.

Last year, Durant averaged 29.9 points, 7.4 points, and 6.4 assists. Durant is under contract for the next four years.

On Monday, June 27, NBA star Kevin Durant and his mother Wanda Durant were on hand to celebrate 51 Prince George’s County high school seniors who will be attending college this fall were honored at The Durant Center.

The Durant Center, located in the center of Kevin Durant’s hometown of Suitland, Maryland, was established by the educational equity charity College Track in 2018 in collaboration with the Kevin Durant Charity Foundation, Prince George’s County, and Prince George’s County Public Schools.

Although Prince George’s County kids are extremely talented, they do not have the opportunities to benefit the local economy with their knowledge and abilities. Currently, just 40% of citizens have a bachelor’s degree, while 87 percent have a high school diploma. 230 scholars are being prepared through College Track at the Durant Center to acquire a bachelor’s degree for the first time in their families and create a future of their choosing. The extensive academic, financial, and social-emotional programming offered by College Track—delivered over ten years, from ninth grade through college graduation—systematically dismantles obstacles to completing college and directs students to make the most of their bachelor’s degree in pursuit of a life of opportunity, control, and choice.

“Meaningful accomplishments take time,” said Kevin Durant. “I’m proud of our scholars who dug deep over the past four years, through some really challenging times, to graduate from high school and now to pursue their college dreams. I can’t wait to see what they’ll accomplish next. We’ll be at their side as they work towards their next goals.”

“The inaugural event was phenomenal to watch, and it was inspiring for us to continue to do the work that is so needed in our communities,” said Wanda Durant. “The work that my son has chosen will change the trajectory of the lives of the students and their families for generations to come. I am honored and privileged to be a part of this partnership with College Track.”

The 51 scholars from the Durant Center are transferring to a variety of universities, including American University, Bowie State University, Howard University, Northwestern University, Sewanee: The University of the South, Towson University, Tulane University, University of Maryland, and others.

Brooklyn Nets Secure 7th Seed Ahead of Play in Tournament

From projected NBA champions to a first-round sweep, the Brooklyn Nets season is over. The Boston Celtics swept the Nets in 4 games in the NBA playoffs first round. The Nets were the only team to be swept in the first round of the playoffs. Here are three reasons why the Nets are off to Cancun.

Lack Of Chemistry

The Net’s lack of playing time together finally showed its ugly head going up against a Celtics core that has been playing ball together for several years. The Nets were without Kyrie Irving for most of the season at home, and Kevin Durant missed significant time with a knee injury. The two All-Stars didn’t get time to gel much this season.

James Harden Factor

Midway last season, the Nets formed a big three by acquiring Harden, who, midway through this season, already had a change of heart that led him to Philadelphia. To first get Harden, the Nets had to give up many assets for him, and when they traded him, they were stuck with a disgruntled Ben Simmons.

Lack Of Size

The Nets are a small team, and the Celtics took every advantage of it. The Celtics outrebounded the Nets, bullied the Nets, and out-hustled the Nets for four straight games. Durant and Irving were harassed and contested on every possession, and many turnovers both stars had shown.

Kevin Durant Enters Seven-Day Quarantine After COVID Exposure

Only thirteen NBA players have had their number retired from multiple teams. Kevin Durant believes he should be number fourteen.

In an interview with The Ringer, the 12-time All-Star said he thinks his jersey should be retired in Oklahoma City and San Francisco.

“OKC has to retire my jersey,” Durant said. “It wouldn’t even be good for the game of basketball if they didn’t. The same with Golden State. I’m still doing what I’m doing here in Brooklyn, but if I continue on what I’m doing four or five years, then I’ll feel the same way about this program. I better have a home. Because I feel like I am basketball. I breathe it. This is my DNA. I put in the time and respect and love for each one of these programs on and off the floor to get that type of recognition. If I don’t do it, then it’s personal.”

Durant is an all-time great talent on the court. He is entitled to have his opinion and could be on to something here. The Golden State Warriors have already gone on record stating they will eventually retire his number. The Oklahoma City Thunder haven’t gone on records about retiring Durant’s number but should consider it. Durant won his first league MVP while with the Thunder. He helped lead the team to its last NBA Finals appearance in 2012. Will the Thunder eventually retire Durant’s number? Who knows, but the case for doing it is a solid one.

The song delivers a heavy bass foundation like a ball dripping down the court with the three artists saucing it with basketball-inspired rhymes that praise the popular Brooklyn Nets’ power forward. K Camp and his signature sing-a-long hook style spit, “Ball like I’m Brook, ball like Kevin Durant (Let’s go) / That boy a dub, I know he don’t stand a chance (Uh-huh) / Glock in my hand, keep a knot in my pants (A Glock in my-) / Glock in my hand, keep a knot in my- (Skrrt, hey).”

Reazy follows Camp with a trendy obnoxious flow, rapping, “I walk with a dirty stick / Pull up at a bank with a bankroll lit (Skrrt) / I was eighteen, hit a hundred band lick (Lick) / These n*ggas ain’t even rich as my bitch (My bitch).”

James Harden admitted on Tuesday that when he was essentially forcing his way out of Houston at the start of last season, his first choice was to be traded to the Philadelphia 76ers to join up with Joel Embiid and his former general manager with Daryl Morey.  All of this might have been something Kevin Durant might have assumed all along.

According to Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer, Durant had grown frustrated with Harden this season over his conditioning and an apparent lack of commitment to the Brooklyn Nets.

One source told Fischer that Durant and Harden had a “cold war” this season that made everyone “miserable.”

Durant reportedly held out hope that Harden would become re-engaged. However, according to Fischer, after reports grew louder that Harden wanted a trade to the Philadelphia 76ers, Harden reportedly eventually told the Nets he wanted out, and Durant gave the green light to pull the trade.

Fischer quoted a source saying: “Kevin’s the one that pulled the trigger with this. Kevin’s the one that said, ‘Do this deal.'”

It was an unfortunate end of what could have been. Durant, Harden, and Kyrie Irving only played a grand total of 16 games together.

The team rosters for the 2022 NBA All-Star Game were unveiled tonight in TNT’s presentation of the NBA All-Star Draft by captains LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers and Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets.

Joining Captain James will be the Chicago Bulls’ DeMar DeRozan, Milwaukee Bucks Giannis Antentokounmpo, Denver Nuggets Center Nikola Jokic and superstar Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry.

The replacement starter for Kevin Durant is Boston Celtics swingman Jayson Tatum. Additional started include Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers, Memphis Grizzlies rising star Ja Morant, Golden State Warriors’ Andrew Wiggins, and Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks.

The two teams will fight to win each quarter for their respective charities, as part of the NBA All-Star Game format. The Kent State I Promise Scholars Program, which provides higher education options and wrap-around support for underserved I Promise students in Northeast Ohio, will be represented by Team LeBron. Team Durant will represent the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, Northeast Ohio’s largest hunger relief agency, which serves over 400,000 people each year and offers life-saving food assistance to those in need.

Through the NBA All-Star Game, a total of $750,000 will be donated to the two organizations. The NBA All-Star Game will begin with a $150,000 payment from each team. Each of the first three quarters will pay $100,000 to the organization chosen by the quarter’s winner, totaling $300,000 for those three quarters. Each of the first three quarters will begin with a score of zero for each team. The team with the higher score at the end of the 12-minute quarter will win the quarter.

The 71st NBA All-Star Game will take place on Sunday, Feb. 20 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, and will be broadcast live on TNT at 8 p.m. ET.

Kyrie Irving Says He Understood Nets Decision to Play Without Him

Could Kevin Durant’s extended absence alter Kyrie Irving’s vaccine decision so he could play more games? Not at all. Irving spoke with the media on Monday and revealed that he is stating “rooted” in his decision of not receiving a COVID-19 vaccination.

Durant has a sprained medial collateral ligament in his knee and will miss between four and six weeks. The injury is expected to keep Durant sidelined until after the All-Star game.

According to ESPN, Durant was forced to leave the game on Saturday night after teammate Bruce Brown injured his knee on a play in the second quarter.

The Nets are set to have 11 of their next 14 games on the road, allowing for Kyrie Irving to join James Harden and keep the Nets ship floating. But Irving wants the media and fans to know that the away games are the only place he will be playing.

“You bring in teams and you bring in situations,” Irving said to ESPN. “Kev’s going to heal, Kev’s going to be OK, and we’re going to have to deal with that as his teammates. But in terms of where I am with my life outside of this, I stay rooted in my decision. And that’s just what it is.

“It’s not going to be swayed just because of one thing in this NBA life. That somehow it’s brought to my attention as being more important than what’s going on in the real world. It’s just not happening for me. Again, I respect everyone else’s decision, I’m not going to ever try to convince anyone of anything or any of that, I’m just standing rooted in what I believe in. And though we’re dealing with this right now with Kev, I just know that I’m protected by the organization, I’m protected by my teammates, I’m protected by all the doctors I’ve talked to. And I just stand rooted.”

The Nets’ next game is against the Washington Wizards in DC.

Fox Sports “analyst” and elite LeBron James troll, Skip Bayless, saw Durant’s performance and decided to use it to jab King James.

“The Best Player on the Planet was at it again tonight in Brooklyn, going assassin in overtime for the COVID-rocked Nets. Nothing like Kevin Durant. You watch, Bron?” Bayless jotted online.

Per usual, Bayless’s antics didn’t receive a response from LBJ, but Durant was very swift in his response and fans are pretty sure it’s a sentiment Bron can agree with: “I really don’t like u.”

“Yeah, we do miss Kyrie. We do,” Durant said.

“He’s a part of our team but for the most part we’ve been generating great shots, we’ve been getting into the paint. It’s just a matter of us knocking them down. I think it will come,” Durant added.

Despite the 2-3 start to their season, Durant has not slowed his game. He has averaged 29.8 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game on shooting splits of 54.8% from the field and 36.0% from the three-point line.

It is unclear when Irving will get back on the court or if he will even play this season. He has addressed in an Instagram Live broadcast that he is neither pro-vaccine or anti-vaccine, but asks people to respect his choice to not get vaccinated.

“The financial consequences, I know I do not want to even do that. But it is reality that in order to be in New York City, in order to be on a team, I have to be vaccinated. I chose to be unvaccinated, and that was my choice, and I would ask you all to just respect that choice” Kyrie stated.

Kyrie’s decision to not get vaccinated has inspired anti-vaxxers to a protest against vaccine protocols outside of Barclays Center, with some participants hopping barriers and charging the building’s doors.

The Brooklyn Nets were literally inches away from the Eastern Conference Finals and possibly the NBA Finals. The team had a strong off season which included resigning Kevin Durant for four more years. Now, it appears James Harden and Kyrie Irving will soon resign as well.

Nets general manager Sean Marks said Wednesday that he is “confident” the team will agree to extensions with Harden and Irving before training camp as well.

When Harden and Irving resigns and keep the Nets’ big three together, that means they would be locked in as teammates for the next five seasons. That eliminates the risk of losing any of the three players in free agency during their primes.

Harden and Irving both suffered injuries during Brooklyn’s second-round series against the eventual world champions Milwaukee Bucks. After Irving sprained his ankle, Harden came back and played on what he called a Grade 2 hamstring strain. “From a health standpoint,” Marks said, there is “no reason to be concerned” about either of them.

Going into the next NBA season, it will be all eyes on the heavily favored Nets squad to deliver a championship in Brooklyn.

While Kevin Durant is trying to lead Team USA Basketball to a gold medal in Tokyo, he is making it clear that he is staying in Brooklyn for the long haul.

Durant’s website, The Boardroom, announced Friday that the veteran forward will sign a four-year contract extension with the Brooklyn Nets. Durant’s manager Rich Kleiman confirmed that the deal will be worth $198 million. As part of the deal, Durant will decline his player option for 2022-23 and tack on four years to the existing deal instead.

With Durant locked in now, it gives the Nets some flexibility to continue to build a championship caliber team around him. The Nets are currently projected to spend $296 million next season in payroll and luxury taxes, per ESPN’s Bobby Marks. That is the second-biggest number in NBA history, trailing only next season’s Warriors, as they try to win the franchise’s first NBA championship around Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden.

The Nets can now focus on locking in Harden and Irving, whom both can opt out of their contracts next season.

Put must win in front of a game and Team USA will get it done. Kevin Durant led Team USA to a 119-84 win over the Czech Republic in an early Saturday morning tip stateside.

The win for the Americans placed the team into the quarterfinals round that will begin on Tuesday. This was Team USA’s second blowout in as many games.

During the game, Durant netted 23 points on an efficient 8-11 shooting.

“I’ve had a lot asked of me every team I’ve been on since I was eight years old. It’s no different here,” Durant said to ESPN. “But I feel I have to be available to do every single thing out on the court…I’ve worked to be at that point and it’s fun.”

Durant received a giant lift from Jason Tatum who added 27 points, including 5 3’s.

“It felt good to just see some shots go in,” Tatum said. “We’re playing better each and every game, and that’s what we expected, to be better than we were last game throughout this tournament.”

America will now head into the quarterfinals as the No. 4 seed and will play either Italy or the loser of the Sunday match-up between Spain and Slovenia. Slovenia is led by global sensation Luka Doncic, while Spain brings a trio of NBA stars in Ricky Rubio, Pau Gasol, and Marc Gasol.

In Doncic’s Olympic debut he dropped 48 points, showing that his team will not be an easy road to conquer.

Team USA got off to an awful start in an international-friendly game. Nigeria pulled off one of the great upsets in international basketball history with their stunning victory over the United States this weekend, and one of their players may have rubbed some salt in the wound afterward.

Miami Heat big man Precious Achiuwa, the starting center for the Nigerian team, sent Team USA’s Kevin Durant to the deck with a big block during the first half of Saturday’s Olympic exhibition.

After his huge block on Durant, Achiuwa took to social media to celebrate Nigeria’s win and to take a shot at the Nets’ superstar.

Achiuwa’s caption read in part, “You’re not that guy pal, trust me your [sic] not that guy.”

While Achiuwa is clearly feeling himself, this game was still an exhibition and not an actual Olympic game. Durant and the rest of Team USA will definitely be looking forward to a rematch when it counts.

Kevin Durant is always down for the smoke when it’s coming his way. Scottie Pippen felt the need to say Durant isn’t on LeBron James’ level and that he “has some learning to do” after the Brooklyn Nets were eliminated in the second round of the NBA playoffs.

Durant heard about the criticism and responded. He roasted Pippen over the infamous Toni Kukoc incident (Pippen refused to go in the game because he was upset the final shot was given to Kukoc over him).

Durant is referencing Game 3 in the 1994 postseason series between the Bulls and the Knicks. Pippen famously sat out for the last play of the game because it wasn’t drawn up for him

Pippen was wrong to quit on his team back then and he is wrong for calling out Durant now.

Scottie Pippen had a lot to say about Kevin Durant in a recent interview. Pippen spoke with Yahoo’s Vincent Goodwill to promote Digits Bourbon. Pippen complimented Durant on the former MVP’s game but said he falls short of surpassing LeBron James.

“Surpassing LeBron James takes a little bit more than an individual effort,” Pippen said. “LeBron James is a complete team player who understands team and winning.

“Has (Durant) gotten to that level yet? He went home (in the playoffs) … I think he still has some learning to do in terms of what it takes to will a team to victory.”

Seems like a harsh take from Pippen considering Durant left it all on the floor during the NBA playoffs this last series against the Milwaukee Bucks. Pippen has been a long-time LeBron fan, and he is clearly showing a bit of bias here. Durant is arguable a better scorer than James and Pippen seem to forget that when it comes down to NBA Finals matchups between the two All-Stars, Durant is up 2-1.

LeBron James' More Than a Vote Initiative Draws Over 10,000 Poll Workers

LeBron James hears all the chatter and channels the energy of his boy Drake on Twitter.

At some point, LeBron was irked by the conversation about his reign in the NBA, that’s when he dug into his “30 for 30 Freestyle” bag.

“Never thought I’d be talkin’ from this perspective
But I’m not really sure what else you expected
When the higher-ups have all come together as a collective
With conspiracies to end my run and send me a message”

He would close the tweet with an owl and crown emoji, signaling himself and Drake.

Could LeBron have heard this?

NBA Champion Scottie Pippen chimed in on the matter.

“Surpassing LeBron James takes a little bit more than an individual’s effort. LeBron James is a complete team player who understands team and winning. Has K.D. gotten to that level yet? He went home,” Pippen said to Vincent Goodwill. “To say that he’s surpassed LeBron, I think he still has some learning to do in terms of what it takes to will a team to victory. Give Brooklyn a lot of credit. They lost Kyrie, James Harden probably was less than 50 percent. It just wasn’t seeing the same player, but still, it was a heck of a series.”

Kevin Durant doesn’t plan on relaxing this summer. After the Brooklyn Nets got eliminated from the postseason by the Milwaukee Bucks, Shams Charania reported Durant is expected to commit to playing for Team USA for the upcoming Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

Durant would become the sixth player to commit to Team USA, joining another player with Olympic experience, Draymond Green, and four first-time Olympians: Damian Lillard, Jayson Tatum, Bradley Beal and Devin Booker.

If Durant commits, it would be his third time in a row playing for Team USA. In 2012 and 2016, both Olympic Games resulted on winning gold medals.

Over the course of his national team career, Durant is a perfect 39-0 record and has appeared in 45 games. Durant holds averages of 19.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 steals while shooting 53.1 percent from the field and 48.6 percent from three to go with 88.3 percent at the foul line.

The Olympics will run from July 23 through August 8th.

Durant torched the Bucks for 49 points, 17 rebounds, and 11 assists. While the Bucks threw everyone to try to slow down Durant, one player never guarded him.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was the Defensive Player of the Year last season and is a four-time All-Defensive team player. Shouldn’t he be defending the opposing team’s best player, at the very least, down the stretch?

Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum pointed that out on Twitter. “Easy$” is a reference to Durant, whose Instagram handle is “EasyMoneySniper.”

McCollum is 100 percent right. It took Durant going nuclear for the Nets to win the game. The Bucks had no answer for him, but maybe they did if the 2x former MVP actually wanted to step up and attempt to guard Durant.

After the game, Antetokounmpo vowed to take the on challenge of guarding Durant in game 6 on Thursday night as the Bucks will be facing playoff elimination.

Fast forward to Saturday, The Athletic’s Joe Vardon reported that the 35-year-old security guard will not be courtside for any more games this series. The guard will not be permitted to work at all in Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum now.

Lambert like the rest of us will have to watch the rest of this series from home and not the sidelines. Right now, that might be the best for everyone in this series.

Damian Lillard is one of the NBA’s most clutch performers. Over the past couple of years and last year’s bubble specifically, he has earned the name “Logo Lillard.” His uncanny range can only contend with the range of the NBA’s all-time greatest shooter, Steph Curry.

Lillard is undoubtedly a top-5 player at his position as well as a top-10 player in the league. His signature playoff game-winners have catapulted him to the NBA’s elite. Most recently, the 6-time all-star dished on who he thinks is the best in the game. While it would’ve been easy to same himself, he opted to choose a former Western Conference All-Star teammate.

“I think KD healthy could very well be the best player in the NBA. I mean, nobody can guard him,” said Dame. “If he’s healthy, he’s shooting threes off the dribble, he’s pulling up off the dribble; he’s posting up.

Dame went on to describe Kevin Durant’s versatile game. When it comes to offense, he is arguably the most unguardable player. Standing at 6’10,” he can shoot over anyone.

“He can get to the rim. You can’t block his shot. The way he handles the ball, the way he moves at that size, who are you going to put on him? When healthy, I think at this moment, he could very well be the best player in the league.”

As the regular season is coming to an end, Damian currently leads the Blazers into the playoffs tied for the 6th seed with the Lakers. As of now, it is unlikely to face off against Durant, unless they meet in the NBA Finals. In the postseason, anything can happen.

Kevin Durant was the latest guest on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game Podcast and an accidental mind slip is causing a stir online.

When the hosts asked KD who were in his top 5 players that he had on his team, KD named Kyrie Irving at No. 1, followed by James Harden, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and many, including the hosts, expected him to place Russell Westbrook at 5. KD chose Serge Ibaka.

Wallo and Gillie would ask about leaving out Russ and Durant admitted it was a slip of his mind, before removing Serge, sliding Klay to five, and putting Russ at the 4 spot.

Kevin Durant on the Knicks: 'I Didn't Want To Be The Savior'

After taking a ton of heat for dm messages being sent to Micheal Rapaport, Kevin Durant is downplaying the entire situation. On Tuesday, Rapaport made headlines online after accusing Durant of sending him these threatening messages on social media.

Durant responded to someone asking him on Twitter about the situation and downplayed things. He acted as if he and Rapaport were old homies who regularly got into heated conversations. He claimed they talked like that with regularity and he was surprised Rapaport was upset.

Rapaport wasn’t feeling Durant’s Luke warm apology.

“No, we don’t Pussy,” he responded. “Don’t ever threaten me or speak on my wife Pussy.”

Clearly, these two may need to hash things out of social media. Rapaport has a right to feel a way about Durant’s comments towards him, but was he right to leak a private conversation online for everyone to see?

Durant, who himself was once highly recruited by the Warriors, is now doing his own recruiting in Brooklyn. The Nets are in second in the East at 24-13 and have really rolled since acquiring James Harden. With another available roster spot left, it will be interesting to see if Griffin will be doing some recruiting of his own for the Nets.

It seems nobody outside of Utah has any love for the Jazz. LeBron James and Kevin Durant got to pick their teams for the All-Star Game on Thursday. Though Utah had two players make the team from the West — Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell — both players were chosen last.

What was the reason for that? James said no offense, but the Jazz have never been exciting.

“There’s no slander to the Utah Jazz,” James said. “You’ve got to understand, just like in video games growing up, we never played with Utah. As great as Karl Malone and John Stockton were, we would never pick those guys in video games. Never.”

Jazz fans aren’t going to like James’ hot take. Mitchell and Gobert were picked Nos. 22 and 23, respectively. Mitchell landed on Team Durant and Gobert landed on Team James.

The Jazz head into the All-Star breaks with the NBA’s best record at 27-9. Between James’ hot take and some in the media not taking the Jazz seriously, expect Mitchell and Gobert to take these remarks seriously during the All-Star game and well into the second half of the season.
