The car that Tupac Shakur was killed in is hitting the auction block for almost $2 million.
The 1996 BMW 750Li that Tupac and Suge Knight cruised in the night of September 7th, 1996 has been fully restored and is now listed on Celebrity Cars Las Vegas website for $1.75 million.
According to the dealership’s description, the car still has one indentation which they believe to be from a bullet, most likely one fired at Shakur. Other than that, the car was fitted with new tires and rims, and a new paint job. It even comes with a certificate of authenticity showing that it was leased by Death Row Records.
The description reads “This is the actual car that Tupac Shakur was shot while riding in after a Fight at the MGM in Las Vegas,” the description reads. “It was driven by Suge Knight and originally leased by Death Row Records. This is the first time this car has ever been up for sale or on display since his death in 1996. It has been completely restored to the condition it was in before his death and has just received a new coat of paint. There is a small indentation where we believe one of the bullet holes was but it is hard to tell. Other than that it is fully restored. The photo of the bullet holes is just for reference. The wheels have been replaced with the same wheels that it had at the time of the shooting. It runs great and is in excellent condition.”
Tupac Shakur was killed on September 7, 1996, in Las Vegas, NV, after attending the Bruce Sheldon vs. Mike Tyson boxing match. Shakur was in the passenger seat of the car while Death Row label head, Suge Knight, drove. They were shot multiple times on the intersection of East Flamingo Road and Koval Lane. Pac was struck four times and died six days later on September 13, 1996.
The BMW was originally impounded after the murder and was subsequently auctioned off to many buyers. Back in 2017, the vehicle was up for auction for $1.5 million and was even featured on an episode of Pawn Stars.
